EXCLUSIVE: Here’s one from the helluva good idea department. Marvel offerings are soaring, and Star Wars is being reinvigorated by director JJ Abrams. Now, Disney has just started to turn its attention to reviving the Indiana Jones franchise after buying the rights from Paramount in 2013

(not much) more here

...........................

Everybody is all about Chris Pratt though & I'm just not all that into the guy. He's a lot of blaaah to me. It's either him or Bradley Cooper people are touting, & that guy is a really odd fit, imho. I suppose there's an argument to be made for Chris Pine, but lord haven't we seen enough of him sucking up everything yet? Chris Evans is too glam. Ryan Reynolds is too goofy. Josh Brolin is too gruff, & Channing Tatum is just a big doofas. There's Jason Clarke from Zero Dark Thirty & White House Down, but who the hell has ever even pretended to know who he is besides me? Plus, he's on the older end of the spectrum

Speaking of which, it really is a shame Nathon Fillion is getting kind of older. He'd be perfection. (BTW we're the same age lol)

Maaaaaaaybe Karl Urban, who by the way is only a year younger than Fillion, & not a solid fit either

You know, Chris Hemsworth is too Aryan looking, but if you're aiming for that age, his brother Liam might not be a bad choice, if he could dig the stick out of his ass long enough to shoot a scene comfortably (I'm looking at you, Hunger Games)

Did I miss anybody?

Live long and prosper.....!!

Am just curious, where's JJ gonna go with this ?? I mean, the whole point of Indiana Jones is about investigating famous mysteries (Ark of the Covenant), and the odd alien involvement (Crystal Skull), which would seem to wrap it up !!

Just had a thought, in Curse of the Crystal Skull we learn the Indy has a son, who also has an interest in archaeology, so perhaps there's some potential there. Hmm, just hope that JJ doesn't see this as another opportunity to destroy long-established icons, as he did with Vulcan !!
R.I.P. Gummy, we'll miss you bro

I can't 'picture' it at this time. I 'think' his higher pitched voice might throw me.

For my vision of the H.Ford version I adore I can easily see Bradley Cooper.

Chris Evans
My initial response to him, with only Capt. America under my belt is please, no.

Ryan Reynolds
My knee-jerk response was, nope. But on further consideration, he 'might' pull it off to my satisfaction.

Josh Brolin & Channing Tatum
I just can not see either of them

Jason Clarke from Zero Dark Thirty & White House Down
Don't know his acting well enough for a position.

PERFECTION.

Karl Urban
Knee-jerk reaction.. not for me.

Aryan? Does not compute to me.

No idea at all.

oo ooo ooo!

John Hamm would work for me in every aspect. He does serious, confused, knee slap comedy, brainy, and could do an academic too. I will assume he could be easily trained for action. Indie!

He's even dreamy in that everyman way.
