as the title suggests, this is the tread for discussion about scott bakula's new NCIS seires (they might call it NCIS: new orleans, but i'm going with NCIS: NOLA) so be warned, there will be spoilers after the show premiers in the fall. there may even be spoilers in links to on-line articles before then.

we already know when it will be in the schedule;
Quote:

“NCIS: New Orleans,” which will star Scott Bakula, gets the prized time slot of Tuesday following “NCIS.” The already established spinoff, “NCIS: Los Angeles,” will move to Monday nights

from here

nothing on a premier date yet.

Live long and prosper.....!!

Not actually seen NCIS, must admit that we prefer CSI Vegas and NY, but not Miami. The others tend to concentrate on the stories, but Miami seems to be more about personalities and consequently is not as interesting. Just our opinion !!

The brand new "NCIS: New Orleans" is going to have a great lead-in as it will immediately follow "NCIS" on Tuesday nights. It's official series premiere will be on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. EST.

It's NCIS original & 'only' for my own tastes, plus CSI Vegas 'only', again for my own personal tastes, and only the seasons before Ms. Shue joined them. (Entertainment tastes are soooo subjective aren't they.)

Miami seems to be more about personalities.
And for some reason the lead actor's 'personality' just majorly and absolutely is not my cup of tea. LOL (A personality quirk of my own I dare say. :D And I rather doubt he would like me either.)

Am SO looking forward to seeing Capt. Archer back in the captain's seat. NCIS: NOLA But I do know myself well enough to know I really must try to avoid setting up expectations for NOLA. I have a tendency to judge if I do. I do much better walking in with no expectations.

Oddly, spoilers don't bother me in the least. I actually enjoy knowing everything about everything and everybody & every character and all of their secrets 'before' I see something. I'd even read the script before hand, and this would only enhance my enjoyment. There are others like me around. LOL Although we may be few and far between.

(I do this with books too. Tell me the whole story, twists, turns, everything, leave nothing out, before I read it and I enjoy the story exponentially better. Movies too. With movies my second watching is often wayyyy more enjoyable for me. Fascinating, right? No? Makes your teeth hurt instead? :D :D :D )

I will remember.

CBS has enlisted Mark Harmon and the rest of his NCIS team to help ensure that the military crime drama’s New Orleans-based spin-off completes its ratings mission. Harmon will make another appearance on NCIS: New Orleans, which launches this fall, and this time he’s bringing more of his crew. Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Michael Weatherly’s Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo, Pauley Perrette’s Abigail “Abby” Sciuto, and David McCallum’s Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard will all visit The Big Easy in an unspecified episode. The crossover will partner Harmon with fellow veteran prime-time star Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap), who leads the New Orleans team.

“I’m here to help,” Harmon told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Beverly Hills on Thursday. “I’ve learned a few things in 12 years that I’m happy to pass on – or not.”

There was previously a cross-over between the shows last season during two episodes that served as a backdoor pilot introduction to the new project, where Bakula plays Special Agent Dwayne Pride, the head of the NCIS New Orleans field office.

Scott Bakula is coming back to solve crime on NCIS: New Orleans this fall and the 59-year-old dished on the fame of his character Dwayne "King" Pride.

"My character is definitely not undercover. He's got relationships with the politicians in town or the cop on the beat that he worked with 15 years ago, when he was with the New Orleans police department, before joining NCIS," the actor told TVGuide.com in a new interview.
