Shows that won't be returning this year. I am not a fan of diversity in the least. Inclusion is bullshit. I want to live in a place where everyone thinks, at least somewhat, like me and there is little variation. For if this were to happen then the following shows would not be canceled this year. Almost Human Surviving Jack Revolution Dracula Believe I've resigned myself to watching just old shows, and shows from not traditional sources like cable networks, which seem to do a much better job at picking and sticking with a good television series. Fox... Fox is shit. Just about every show I like on Fox (Firefly, Almost Human, Millennium, Space Above and Beyond, Surviving Jack...and more) Fox cancels within the first season. And they usually fuck with the show with serial preemption, reordering of episodes, musical time slots and lack of promotion (Surviving Jack only lasted 7 episodes?? Really, we can't let a show gain some support?) It's time for me to see shows, not as television series, but as movies and I get lucky to have more than one. That way when they are canceled at seven episodes, I'm in a 6+ streak win. What I'd really like to see is more alternative programing like direct to streaming Netflix shows like Orange is the New Black or Webisodes like, The Guild. Traditional television is a dinosaur. Or maybe, just maybe... Someone could create channel that caters to those of us who love the Sci-Fi genre and can scoop up these shows, once their discarded, and present them to a greatly appreceated and loyal customer base that devoures such programming... It could happen?? |

You will. We're heading into a new paradigm where after a pilot get's greenlit to air, it will only get 6-8 episodes on tv before they flush it or have a parade. It's that skewed now. Everyone will follow the Walking Dead format eventually, 6-8 episode half seasons. It's been leaning that way ever since Lost, which was a huge success & had struggles staying afloat in its latter seasons Fox on the other hand is just a meat grinder. You're asking for certain death going to them with a quality idea, because they can't even manage to make one of those work, let alone what most shows use to be like. They had to get time to settle into their time slot But look at it like this. I love Sherlock from the U.K. & they drop only three 90 minute episodes per set... and it's enough. I'd like more, of course, but it can survive on that, because it's good. Sadly, in that show's case, the two leads have both become such huge cinema stars that it's going to be rough to keep getting them back for a spell together |

The Fox model seems to toss shows out there on their metaphorical ears and see what happens. It's a lousy business model; I imagine this bleeds money. |

Once Ixalla was ready, Tathrelle cornered her. “Before we leave for work, I just want to tell you, I’m sorry. I guess I sort of shut down last night. I know you were in pain and I wasn’t too terribly supportive.” There was a wall covering in the main part of their chamber, something that Tathrelle hadn’t noticed before. She stared at it for a second and then shook her head. Outside, a disembodied voice announced from a hidden speaker, “It is time to travel to all daytime places of employment. Transportation sleighs are available and ready. Citizens are encouraged to thank the sleigh drivers at the end of a successful transport. The government recommends haste, and requests that all pregnant persons be given preference for seating in their designated areas.” A little distracted, Ixalla just asked, “Pain?” Untrustworthy - by me, actually. It's for sale on Amazon - Yeah, I'm a published author jespah My author page on Facebook Author of Untrustworthy I blog about Startrek fanfiction..Honk if you love silence. | |

Well, I guess for me, current tv is academic, as my over-the-air digital box is toast, and long in the trash, and can't afford another, plus, my antenna may be fragged, or not. I was just telling RE today, after she informed me about several new series-including a new Batman one, ''Gotham,'' for fall, and I commented that with it on there, as say, opposed to the CW, it would have a broader base of potential vierwers as, and while not always the case-I watch ''Smallville,'' and ''Roswell'' back when, for ex, the predominance seem to be 25 -30 and under there oftentimes...then again, I said, Fox had had its share of zxed shows.... ''24'' was to my glee back when not among them, and I just heard today, that ''24:Live Another Day'' is on there, something I had read at wiki the other month had been in planning long back. I love this series. Pleased that it's back, for however long, even if I can't see it. ''Space:Above and Beyond'' was a Fox show I liked, as well, guys. Too bad it didn't last. Unlike ''The X-Files,'' which was one of their best hits, and a fave of mine, from the get-go. They DO make good choices there sometimes. |

Hmm no, don't watch those shows. Madam likes her dramas, but must admit I prefer more factual, documentary-style shows. Unless it's Star Trek, of course....!! Though to be honest, during my recent enforced layoff from the internet (thanks to our ISP), I have been trawling the freeview channels for something intelligent to watch, and I have to say that daytime tv really sucks !! |
| R.I.P. Gummy, we'll miss you bro | |
