Hey, guys. Thanks for advice, as usual.

On the subject of application process, I get what Spocklet is saying, it's a weeding-out process, but, when you already have an uphill fight, why in heaven's name do you need more obstacles? Yeah, I get it-the economy being what it's been, noone wants to waste time and money training someone, just to encounter a problem down the road. Hurray.

At the temp place, FIVE TIMES, in some slightly varied way, I think I posted this in my thread in 31, on the 'test' I did, was asked would I steal, cheat, etc. PUUULEEEAAASE. WHO would answer in the affirmative to questions like that, ANYWAY? IF you WERE a 'crook', don't you think most would have sense enough, to keep their yap shut, as to true intent?? Is their moral off-swith THAT long-engaged, that they aren't aware of the moral balances?? Even mobsters know that, according to any priest they might have had as a kid, murder is immoral. They just ignore the teaching.

Frankly, it's insulting. What? Is the labor pool that 'polluted'?? Take drug tests, for example. I know freaking well I don't use them, nor do I drink at all, nor do I care in any way for either. Frankly, out of the few things I can be proud of, that's one. Never needed any of it, and mom did teach me to stay away from same. It's a Southern Baptist thing. :D Well, really, she was the SB. I 'attended'. Not that I shouldn't be as she was in her spirit. Again, I know, I know....sign of the times, potentially guilty. Still feels insulting, because I know I am as clean as a baby's newly-washed bottom. :D Yes, stuff happens, and people can get trapped in most any bad place. There but for the grace of God go I, as they say, to be fair, still.

Isn't it bad enough, that employers want to run your FB acct through a fine-tooth comb? Isn't the NSA stuff enough for we all to fret over?? You can't even screw up in private, anymore. Technology has a double-edged sword, and boy, one is as sharp as can be.....'Course, never been on FB. Guess they'd love to have my posts here in 31 to sift through. How lovely that would be.

Oh, for the days of simply filling out a paper appy, and a simple law enforcement background check. Now we have to be super-awesome at every turn,no, can't have any 'unacceptable' personality traits, or what have you. Let's just all be one with the Borg. There's your Perfection, folks. :wissa: Especially for just stacking stuff on shelves, and such critical jobs.

Live long and prosper.....!!

For stacking stuff on shelves, most of the bigger warehouses have a machine or two to do that. It works out cheaper in the long run than people, and is more accurate so fewer mistakes occur. But again, that's down to the 'trained monkey' that programmed them !!

Hmm a warehouse run by the Borg.......oh yeah, that would be perfection, though you may want to negotiate the salary as 'the destruction of the universe' may be a bit high !!

When you think about it, Borg cubes ARE a warehouse-for drones! :D

Hmm yeah, and when not needed the drones are stored on racks. Just take down the kind of drone(s) you need. Yeah that would work !!

And considering the size of a Borg cube, they can't all be working or regenerating. And since leisure activities and areas would be unnecessary, storage racks or shelves would be useful !!
