A few days agoe we all stood on the front steps and watched the space station go by, now we have the biggest moon of the year. Good week for looking up.

Live long and prosper.....!!

If you're lucky enough to have clear skies and minimal (or no) light pollution, then it's good to just stand and stare and appreciate the galaxy !!

That is true spock. I remember when I first moved to PA from NY, and the stars are so bright and out all the time.

Best place I've seen the stars at is in the valley where my brothers old flat was in South Africa. The only light you have at night is the moon & stars! Was amazing to just look up & also amazing to see a whole new set of stars too!

It SOOOO sucks that you cant really see a good starry night around here even when the sky is crystal clear, there's so much light pollution refracting off the atmosphere in this area. When I visited my parents in northern Florida this March and sat outside at night I was amazed how many more of the same stars in the night sky I could see as compared to here.....you could even make out some slight color differences...and the moon? holy crap the moon lit the area so well you could just about read by it

I quite blessed where I live as I'm outside of the nearest town/city on a hill so get a good view of the stars when the sky is clear, not as clear as in South Africa but still good enough. :)

Oh & the title of this thread reminds me of the episode of SG1 The Lost City, where Jack is trying to complete a crossword with no help.

One of the clues is Celestial Body & he put Uma Therman

^^ I didnt see a problem with that
The unambiguous and defined essence of a truest friend, is a single soul, shared in two bodies. A person who completes you so, that it pains you when they hurt, and sustains you when they are with you, no matter how far.

We've seen a couple of comets over the years, kinda got mixed feelings about 'em - I envy their freedom to just roam through the galaxy, but it must be lonely up there !!
