My favorite episode of the series is definitely A Study in Pink, but I think every episode so far has been really amazing.

I also think he has some level of Autism as opposed to sociopathy, at least in this adaption. I'm not overly familiar with the source material. He shows his emotion and hurt in a lot of really subtle ways, which is really a credit to how good of an actor Cumberbatch really is.
Totally agree, I think Cumberbatch really is doing a brilliant job. But I think the more the show advances the less he does look like a sociopath to me.

I found the pilot on dailymotion.
Here you are :)

That was neat, just a different version of episode 1. I like the remake better

I thought maybe it would be a separate story from the other episodes, like some shows do for a pilot

No, I think they were planning to make one movie first and then they decided to make a series out of it or something like that.
I liked the real episode better, too.
We are all stories in the end.

Well, the actual episode is a half hour longer than the pilot. So the ending could be played out a bit better

Donovan was cast different too

Just finished watching the third series. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I can't say it's better than some of the earlier stuff, but I still greatly liked every minute. I'd give almost anything if they'd make more than just three 90 minute episodes per series. This bunch really left me wanting more (At least the finale left it open for more). For my money, this is the Sherlock Holmes of our generation. They strike every tone just right for me

I 'will' remember.

My experience with our third series:

-- The first episode was an unequivocal homage to the fans who have crazily fallen in so much love with the show that they, we, have added so much personality to it with our adoration that we are now a living part of this amazing series with these amazing actors, writers, producers who love it as crazily as we do! And this first episode of series three has made 'us' a character in the show! I was ecstatic all the way through it. I've never experienced a show that acknowledged, played to, and blatantly adored us the way this episode does. It departs from the first two seasons' typical attitude, adding much tongue in cheek speaking directly to -me- us.

-- The second episode moved back closer toward the first two series' attitude but with a grand comedy within the show's mystery, and a new mystery with the new addition to the crime fighting ensemble which I embraced immediately, happily, and hope hope hope this character does NOT disappear next series.

-- The final episode moved us again closer to what we came to expect in the first two series. And did not end with a cliff hanger (thank all the deities who listen to prayers because I seriously don't know how I'd make it through another one like the last one  ), but instead makes a 180 and ends with the metaphorical sun rising on a brand new chapter in our (my) life with SHERLOCK & crew with the coming of series four!!!
I will remember.

I enjoyed this. However, they are mostly talking about series 3... so,

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN SERIES 3 YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO WATCH THIS YET!

I am possibly the last to know about SHERLOCK fans doing this. In the YouTube video above this one Steven Moffat said something about this SherlockFanOrchestra, which I think is just a brilliant idea; using the Internet to come together as an amateur orchestra whose members live anywhere on Earth.

This was their debut work.

I will remember.

This one is called SHERlocked

I find these wonderful people and what they have done to be heartmovingly & lovingly beautiful. The music is cut with all the pictures of them as they play. My heart swelled three times its size while I watched.

I will remember.

Pursuit... basically they did the soundtrack score to the running scene. Can you imagine? You love a show, you join together with people you've never met in person, use the Internet to make an orchestra with vocal & instruments (even a ukulele in this one), and cut your own soundtrack using the original written score. Brilliant.

I will remember.

Steven Moffat also 'admired' this fan work in the above interview.

Well, I'll be. I had no idea.

People were a bit down on S3 because ep1 focused too much on the faked death, but come on, you had to know they couldn't get around that. Ep2 was a lost opportunity at a good mystery which I again disagree with, and the final ep was disappointing compared to the Moriarty stuff

What people are missing is that S3 gave us more character development and arcing than any previous. The Sign of Three was a huge pleasure to watch. I keep rewatching it. It's easily the best midseason ep of any season, because it took their usual unrelated mystery and made it relevant through the characters. It is a sublime piece of entertainment, placing Sherlock at John's wedding
