Im not sure if this has been discussed or was a poll or what.. but Do you eat ketchup/catsup (if you eat it at all) on pork? or chicken??

the only pork I eat it on is a hotdog/corndog.... but Ive seen a lot of people recently eating it on chicken.. I was shocked! Ketchup on chicken?

I eat BBQ sauce on pork and chicken.. but the idea of ketchup seems so wrong.. like drinking the wrong wine combination with meat...you can do it, but it just not the right pairing.
All my posts are done from my tablet. I apologize for all strange errors in my posts... as swype hates me. :violet:

When I was very young we always ate catsup on chicken. And probably pork, too. Today, I rarely, if ever have any kind of ketchup and anything.

I hate ketchup with a passion.

There can be only one

There are only 4 times I ever use the Heinz:

1. Hot dogs - Chicago purists can kiss my ass. Yes, I use Mustard on the 2nd hot dog, but I still like Heinz on them
2. French/Home/Steak Fries
3. Burgers, unless prepared properly where they drip juice, then you dont need it.
4. Very little mixed with A1 and the natural jus of a great med-rare cooked steak for dipping....Sometimes

I have it with Hot dogs & chips but only if I'm not having anything else with my chips. I don't eat these much, so I don't have tomato sauce much.

OK now I'm really trying to figure out the cultural divide with virtually everything in this post....

If you call Ketchup tomato sauce (which in essence, it is) on your side of the pond, then what do you call actual tomato sauce that goes on pasta?
what you call chips, we call fries (i think)
and what we call chips, you call crisps

.....right?

Or should we just skip it and just eat?

They're both called tomato sauce. It's usually clear which is meant in context. Ketchup is also used as a term, and (imaginatively) red sauce.

Chips and fries are very similar but I wouldn't call them the same. What you get in McDonalds are fries. Chips are these:

Eat them with ketchup, or vinegar, or (revoltingly and quite a recent development) mayonnaise.
