A "z" would be okay.

I have it for business. I have customers all over Canada and it's way cheaper to ship via Canada Post than to ship from here to Canada. It also allows me to purchase items from overseas that can't be shipped to Washington.

It cost me $15 dollars to ship a backpack to Etobicoke, ON via CP. If I sent it via USPS, it would have cost me $35.

And the service was way better. Even packaged my item for free.

So it's not universal?

Or, I'm wondering if they treat Vancouver Island differently than the mainland.

no I think it's just individual outlets are more or less interested in customer service.

Ahh you were talking about customer service. I thought each CP charged different rates, which seemed odd.

they would actually depending on where it was going. It would be different rates for me to mail something to, say, Vernon than it would be for you to from Abbotsford.

well, yeah. I just though for a moment the CP's were like independent franchises and each had it's own rates. But, never mind. I get what you were trying to say about customer service.

so i guess it's not that for for you
to drive to go get the stuff when it comes in.

Not really, I live about five minutes from the border. And to the post office it's another 5 -10, depending on traffic.

It's an escrow issue. I could have it shipped to Oregon, but that's too far. Essentially, a broker holds my money in escrow until I receive my purchase and report that everything is good. Once I do, then the broker will give the shipper my money. Washington State doesn't like that.
