They are heartbreaking to read, one of them is from a boy telling his mum he loved her & sorry he wasn't a good son! Really feel for all those that lost a friend or family member & for the children that have had their innocence taken from them by having to go through something like this.

One was a .223-caliber rifle; my guess is an AR-15 (the same gun used in the Aurora shooting), which is the civilian version of the M-16. It's a very sad situation, and I suspect there were familial problems. It's likely he was also mentally or emotionally unstable. He probably needed help that he wasn't getting or wasn't able to get. This story suggests the administration might use this to enforce stricter gun control laws. I find that pretty sad as well.

The dj on the radio refused to say the shooters name, didn't want to give him any recognition at all for doing this. I just cried and cried. All I could think about was my daughter who is now 7. You send your child to school and I could not even fathom the pain these parents are going through after receiving that phone call. These were babies, little innocent angels. How could anyone just shoot all those little babies? And the teachers and facility that saved the rest. Hero is an understatement. That sick MF killed so many people, for what? He is better off dead but at the same time, he should have not killed himself and they should have let loose the parents of the children he killed. Let him face their wrath. I am not really political, and I am sorry if that previous statement is harsh. I just feel that the man is worse then evil itself. You are more than sick and twisted to kill babies. Babies! They didn't have a chance to live. They were just beginning their journey and this MF just takes them down for NO reason. All I can do is pray for the babies, their families, the heroes that saved the others and the adults that lost their lives.

Kind of along the vein of what Reedenterprise is saying. I can think of a thing or two myself. What I'd really like to know is why. I want to know this of all the shooters. I personally think there is some kind of copycat thing going on. Some kind of sick new phenomena in the last 10 - 15 years. Why do this? How do you stop it? Banning guns won't do a thing. There's another sad story of a teacher going crazy in China and slashing 22 kids with knives. There's some kind of cultural sickness amongst these monsters. They can't be developing these plans on their own. They have to be inspired by previous massacres. What is it they think they're fixing?

But I bet it is. Edit: actually this is interesting, could be the media is starting to learn some lessons. Just did a quick web check- Fox News and Al Jazeera lead with photos of the suspect, a cursory look at CNN, Reuters and the BBC show no images of him anywhere.
