Who would you invite, past or present? I guess fictional characters are ok. Richard O'Brien- awesome dude who I reckon could spin a good tale. ![]() Samuel Johnson- wit and contrarian. Enjoys big dinners and arguing, just like me. ![]() Jane Austen- sharp as a razor. Reckon i'd fancy her if I met her. ![]() Chuck D- gravitas personified ![]() Sue Perkins- likes food and being nice. The only one on the list i've actually met! ![]() |

Cool thread idea. Just to be different. I'm going to go with all living people Pretty obvious of late, that Neil deGrasse Tyson makes the list. He's such a passionate guy, who can talk on many topics in a very casual but entertaining way Richard Dawkins, I've already seen him & Tyson have an hour long sit down & it was downright mesmerizing Whoopi Goldberg. I think her humor is probably at its best in social settings. If I were rich & famous. This is who I'd want to be friends with Bobby McFerrin, a far more intellectual man than anyone really knows, & a true master of the arts Penn & Teller, C'mon That would just be a fucking blast ![]() & their mentor James Randi. The king of all skeptics |

Hard to pin this one down because it would depend on my mood. There are different clusters of people i'd wanna meet for different reasons. Gonna go somewhat intellectual, and moderately recent. Otherwise, the first 20 women that popped up in a google image search for "hot porn star". ![]() These two gents. Ian Freeman and Mark Edgington. Two talk show radio hosts and liberty activists. ![]() Sasha Grey. And not for the reasons you're thinking about. Sickos! There's a giant brain and a lot of ambition there. ![]() Ron Paul. ![]() Milton Friedman. The consummate free marketeer. I would love to pick his mind. ![]() Talk about the most interesting man in the world. Forget that dos equis chap. I want to be him. ![]() William Mcdonough. Another inspirational character. Albeit diametrically opposed to the persons above. ![]() I'll see your Neil Tyson and raise you one Michio Kaku. |

I would like to have Roger Waters there, because he was part of the original, but he really seems like he'd be a douche, so it would be hard to put up with him, I think. |

Roger Waters soon wears thin. If you know the movie Pink Floyd's The Wall, Waters wrote it about losing his dad during the war, and the effect that had on his life. Instead of getting on with his life, he'd rather just mope around feeling sorry for himself. That, and trying to control everybody and everything around him, that's why they split !! Roger Waters as a dinner guest, or a bullet in the brain. I'll take the bullet, it'd be more interesting !! |

Ok, I'll give you that one. He definitely did need to move on with his life. But, I have to admit, The Wall is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums.

Oh don't get me wrong The Wall is an excellent album, one of their best, and had Waters been able to move on and leave his past behind then am sure they would have stayed together, and recorded many more excellent albums (they did record some, but I think they could have been better) !! |

The best artists are always brooding, self obsessed douchbags. Some of Water's solo albums are excellent as well |
