Live long and prosper.....!!

8 feet tall, at least I wouldn't get trampled on by all the 8 footers !!

You really should have an "other" choice as well !! :/

Because I have to choose, I've gone with 8ft as I'm small now & there are times I could do with being a little bit taller. But for the most part, I'm ok with my height, though a couple of inches more would have been great.

Being a taller person anyway, I'd definitely pick 8 ft tall because then everyone would look up to you. ;)
Ah, Kirk, my old friend. Do you know the Klingon proverb which tells us revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It's very cold.......in spaaaace.

it would be much easier to hide during hide and seek if you were 3 feet tall. Or just blend into a crowd

You'd also get trampled when the 8 footers were rushing somewhere !!

I'd pick other cos am happy the size I am, just wish they'd make car interiors with more head and legroom, is all !!

But not much of a view, all you'd see is everyone else's knees!

Agreed! It seems most cars are built for people that are 3 ft tall! :wissa:

3 feet. 8 feet would be too tall for things like airplane seats and even car seats. You would also have to get a special extra long bed, etc.

i was thinking that being weither height would be problematic
because 96% of things are designed for people
who are more "average" height.
if you're 3 feet tall you can't get into cuppards or tall
shelves without help. according to one SCI episode
where they had a little person convention, they (in frank terms)
can't wipe their own butt because their arms are too short,
so thei have to use some stick-like thing to hole the TP.
and at 8 feet you're too tall for cars & planes and
have to duck to get into any building.
for both, you have to special order clothes & shoes. plus
there are various health problems that both sizes have.

 I randomly assumed that the world will be full of Lilliputians and brobdingnagians... not that there were any other sized people..

as for choosing other... *rolling my eyes*
Juxtaposition... compare and contrast...sometimes "other" just isnt an option :liz:

Being on the tall side myself, I sort of take it for granted, so my opinion might be biased from having never experienced extreme shortness. However, having worked in a hospital I must admit, in life being big complicates a lot

Nobody around 7 foot lives to be 90, & if they get up over 70, the remaining years of their life are hell. Age kicks big people's asses, but a 4 foot Asian lady? She'll dive for pearls until she's 115

3 feet vs 8 feet are extremes that almost always relate to a health issue on either account, which carries complications for both

I wouldn't want to be either, anymore than I'd want to suffer any other kind of malady

But if we were choosing from otherwise normal conditions that were either 4 foot vs 7 foot. I'd choose 4 foot to live out the rest of my life, and buy some step stools

I was riding down the lane this morning & this thread topic popped into my head

I have decided that being any taller than I am probably wouldn't be good as if I were taller, I wouldn't be able to ride Bailey.

Being 8 feet would be good at concerts :) But I wouldn't wanna be either.

On a side note, I shrunk :( I am now 5'4 1/2. I am NOT amused.

I went with 8' as being able to dunk is (mostly) more lucrative than being a jockey or a gymnast.

Plus I am figuring less of a weight issue there. At 3' you have very little margin for caloric overages.

Hence, greyhound or Great Dane instead of chihuahua, I suppose.
Once Ixalla was ready, Tathrelle cornered her. “Before we leave for work, I just want to tell you, I’m sorry. I guess I sort of shut down last night. I know you were in pain and I wasn’t too terribly supportive.” There was a wall covering in the main part of their chamber, something that Tathrelle hadn’t noticed before. She stared at it for a second and then shook her head.

Outside, a disembodied voice announced from a hidden speaker, “It is time to travel to all daytime places of employment. Transportation sleighs are available and ready. Citizens are encouraged to thank the sleigh drivers at the end of a successful transport. The government recommends haste, and requests that all pregnant persons be given preference for seating in their designated areas.”

A little distracted, Ixalla just asked, “Pain?”
