It floods, there are cyclones up north, its hot and humid in summer - great if your neighbors got a pool. In winter it has the ability to get cold. Has reasonable cities, a cool breeze in the mountains, Julia Gillard is the PM, and Tony Abbott who loves his budgie smugglers, is in the opposition party. Thats all for now

If we gave you the full list, we'd be here all week. So a brief resume !! Colonised by Polynesians, around 40,000 years ago. 'Rediscovered' by Captain James Cook, and his ship the Endeavour. Declared a British territory by the UK parliament. 'Recolonised' by criminals, banished from the UK. The most famous criminal was probably Ned Kelly, who wore a bucket on his head. Aborigines have never really accepted European colonial rule (which is understandable !!) Every New Year there's a great fireworks display at the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The greatest Aussie pop group (in my humble opinion) is/was the Seekers. From memory, not Wikipedia !!
