Ten series in one go is a little daunting, but I am man enough. Hopefully there will be interesting stuff for me to comment on in this thread.

Guess there's no point in warning you about how addictive it is, and that you will get hooked into it and all the other SG series as well. I recently finished all of SG1, and both of their movies, SG-Universe - which was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE - sorry it only went 2 seaosns, and now im on S4 of Atlantis

Just seen what appears to be their version of 'Yesterday's Enterprise, an episode called 'There But for the Grace of God', which was pretty cool. Finally, the show is offering a palpable sense that humanity is actually at war with the Goa'uld, something that the have hinted at since the start but never really managed to convey.

I got to Season 7, and then I lost the drive to keep going. I'm a big fan of the show though. I've seen a couple episodes of both spinoffs and don't like either one.

I've seen a couple episodes of both spinoffs and don't like either one. The 2 stargate movies were pretty good and made for more of a fitting end to the SG1 series than the series finale did. Atlantis is OK - Im almost done with that one, but Universe, albeit only 2 seasons, was some of the very best television ever made

Maybe the characters weren't interesting enough- apart from Robert Carlyle of course.

At first I didnt watch much of any other SG series because I had gotten disenchanted with it because of the big religious Ori element, and the dispersal of the original team, and Atlantis seemed too much like fighting space vampires, and those 3 things turned me off to picking up another one....but once I was able to stream continuous episodes through NF, I figured Id give Universe a try, and you're right, its more high brow, but that is just my sort of thing, so that gave it a saving grace for me, and there were actual consequences for people when things went wrong. Thats what hooked me
