a decade is usually 10 years
:wissa:

So we want shows that lasted all 10 years of a certain decade?
I imagine it doesn't have to, but has to have had an impact that defines that decade, like I put in Seinfeld, which didn't do ten seasons, but it's impact not only defined sitcoms of that decade, but actually was the inspiration for Friends

Hmmm let's see... medical dramas that define their decade

50s Don't know of any myself

60s Probably Dr. Kildare

70s M*A*S*H (Again)

80's St. Elsehere

90s E.R.

00s House M.D.

shows that define the decade. Like big hair defines the 80's but did not cover the whole 80's or end in 1990

For me it would be:

50s: Leave it to Beaver (there's nothing like wearing high heels and pearls while you vacuum)
60s: Andy Griffith Show (Andy Griffith is like a grandfather to me...I just love him)
70s: The Brady Bunch (long, straight hair parted down the middle and bellbottoms)
80s: Lots....The Cosby Show, Who's the Boss, Facts of Life, Different Strokes, Growing Pains
90s: Seinfeld, Friends, Saved by the Bell (that started in the late 80s of course)
00s: Malcom in the Middle, Everybody Hates Chris....I dont watch any other recent sitcoms, but there are more of course.
Hard work pays off in the future....laziness pays off now.
