They play House on Cloo? Cloo is the mystery cable network here (Get it Cloo = clue?)

Is House a mystery show though? Sure there's a mysterious ailment in every episode that he solves, but to me, mystery programs are the ones where we watch & perhaps workout ourselves the solving of the mystery. There ain't no way I could ever work out the solution to the mystery that House solves. Hell, I don't even know wtf the solution means when they've found it & explained it... & I work in a hospital

Monk
Psych
Columbo
Matlock
Murder She Wrote
etc...

Hell, Dick Van Dyke's Diagnosis Murder was more of a traditional mystery show than House

One of the most ridiculous and overly used *things* in the movies, is people cutting their hands with huge knives to draw a drop or two blood, and like it's no more difficult than popping a zit.

Have these people ever tried cutting themselvs? It hurts! And using the hand after is near impossible.

Why not just prick yourself with a blook sugar machine or sewing needle or something...on the forearm where it hurts much less?

*I say things because I lack the knowledge of the proper term.
I have never been in a situation where I needed to leave some blood behind

This brings me back to the guy trapped in handcuffs who saws off his whole hand, instead of a thumb, which is the integral component in the successful use of a handcuff. The thumb is what prevents it from coming off . 1, 2, 3 or 4 fingers still out trumps 0 fingers

This assuming you cannot just break or dislocate your thumb to get free, none of which will be easy at all, but certainly easier than sawing or even hacking your hand off, & much more preferable :waiting:

& also the bludgeoning "sweet spot" schtick. A guy can smash his whole head up in a car wreck & get out & keep on running, but same guy gets sapped once from behind & it's lights out

You also see a lot of one assault triumphs in martial arts fighting in movies too. "Oh he threw that guy. Guess it's time for him to lie down"

They play Jag too, or use too and I wouldn't consider that a mystery either.

I think they use to play Walker Texas Ranger and TJ Hooker.

These damn Expendables movies are going to be my worst guilty pleasure ever. They got Van Damme & Chuck Norris in the new one

Aww crap, they lost Mickey Rourke. Serious macho factor loss there

are there any actors, lets say under age 40, today that
will still be in (good) movies in their 60s & 70s?

i mean, you look at the old movies & think; they don't make
actors like that any more. true, there was the "studio system,"
but some of those people studied acting & took it seriously.
they didn't need a sex tape or a DUI to keep their name in the papers.

Are you talking about Hollywood actors? Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Franco, Amy Adams. All good actors who seem to care about their craft. I think they have a chance.

There's plenty in their 40's & 50's that will keep going

But under 40? It's hard to know who will have longevity, until they hit 40 or so, until then, it's anyone's ballgame. Working after 40 is the hallmark. For example, Matt Damon is just over 40, & he's probably going to make it a long long while... maybe

Christian Bale won't stop working for a long time, & I doubt DiCaprio is going anywhere either. I had considered Toby Maguire to have some potential longevity, but I haven't seen much big time stuff from him lately. He'll be back. I suspect down time is in order after a series like Spiderman. Bale may have that after his Dark Knight series too. Jude Law (38) looks to be in it for the long haul

It's harder for women to age in film careers, especially now, because the modern trend doesn't feature older women too much, & the emphasis is on being beautiful even as you age, which goes horribly wrong for women & their beautification methods. I'd give Charlize Theron, & Natalie Portman a shot at lasting. I also bet Drew Barrymore is a lifer. It's in her genes. Gwenyneth Paltrow might be able to swing it too

I also expect a lot more from Bryce Dallas Howard. People in Ron Howard's family act in stuff FOREVER

There are a few. I personally think Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries) has a long way to go. He is fantastic. There are a few others. Drew Barrymore I agree with. She has totally turned her life around.

There are others but my mind is blank right now.

You may be more right that you know. He's got 2 movies out this summer, & one is the main villain in the new Batman, & he's also been cast in the lead role for the reboot of Mad Max. He really is just now breaking out into major stardom, & apparently has some good acting chops

90210 Old Navy ads? Seriously? Where's Kevorkian when you need him? If ever there was a public cry for assisted suicide, it's reuniting you're 20 year old soap cast in an Old Navy ad

He and Pine also have some kind of spy romantic comedy coming out.

Yeah, that thing with Reese Witherspoon. That already came out back in February. Didn't interest me, but yeah, he's been steadily working a lot since he was in Inception

I didn't quite put that on my fb page when I saw the ad a few days ago but I agree.

I forgot and someone reminded me that there is an ad with Gabriella Carteris and Priestly.

If they get Ian Ziering, Old Navy is toast!

The one I saw had Priestly, Luke Perry & Jennie Garth, looking puffy, haggard, & freeze dried, respectively.

Nobody needs to see that shit, man. It just makes us all feel old... Like them 21 Jump Street people. Let them sleeping dogs lie. Nobody wants to see no Richard Griecos or Peter Deluises, & they sure as hell don't want no part of any middle aged Brian Austin Green

So just get that idea out your head right now! :denny:

old navy has done stuff like that before.
they had the jefersons in the late 90s.
in 20 years they'll probably have the cast
of modern family in their ads.
