Love the Shat, but I can't say I'm surprised. There was the faint scent of flop sweat all over the show from the beginning. I just don't think the writers were very good |

![]() It's a common term in comedy, more for standup comedy though. When a comic's material is weak, & they start to bomb, they'll sometimes sweat under the lights.... Flop. Sweat. ![]() Frankly, the rest of the cast were mediocre in their parts, the stories were rather humdrum, and only Shat had any decent dialog, & even that was watered down for network tv, from the original tweets from Shit My Dad Says Imo, the only reason it lasted as long as it did, was that it's only redeeming quality was that it had SHAT! Even in shit Shat is the shit |

I think it may be the greatest avatar gif ever! because for almost 12 seconds, it looks like it's just an old black & white still shot of Anthony Perkins, & then Bam! Norman Bates, smiling at you

Didn't surprise me. They didn't execute the show's theme very well. The first episode reminded me of your typical mid-1980's sitcom humor and while it did get better later on through episodes, it just didn't have the right stuff. It had some good moments and some funny moments here and there, but nothing that could make it stand against rivaling shows & sitcoms. Shatner did start to give his character more life and did become more entertaining, but indeed.... all the other actors/characters dragged the show down & the translation from the blog that the show was based on simply didn't work on tv when they watered it down. |
