Songs like that have a certain element of childhood magic that has long ago been lost. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the movie is pretty darned good as well.

Macarena - Los del Rio I saw that video July 6th 1996 ( the night before I shipped off to recruit training) on VH-1. To me it was pretty awesome. Three months later, when I left the recruit training depot, it was gone and everyone hated it. I never got to enjoy.
