he almost walked away from the show last year when his contract was up didn't he? it's possible he never intended to go more than one more year. 7 years is a pretty long run in a tv show.
lo, indeed.... ask any Star Trek actor.

You don't see how you're telling him something snarky? :waiting:

And you don't see how everytime I post in these forums, I have someone come along and act all mighty, proclaiming that something was too long for them to read so they didn't bother and act as though what I have to say is somehow not as important as what they have to say, which doesn't even contribute to the topic...... see how snarky that seems? :whoop:

Like I said, nice double standard.

Seriously you think saying and I quote

"You complain about people making long winded posts about "Charlie Sheen's degenerate lifestyle" as if the topic isn't even worth talking about.... yet you're the one who clicked the thread to read it, and then post that you can't be bothered to read any of it.

That makes a lot of sense.

Why not just avoid the thread all together and let it die slow"

Isn't rude and/or condescending?

I give what I've been given..... if somebody isn't going to bother to take the time to read what I have to say like I do for them, and then turn around and mock or be condescending towards me, then don't come all up in here and give me sh*t for tossing it back at them.

The easiest thing to do is what I do..... if I can't be bothered with a thread or someone's post, I ignore it and go onto something else..... I don't decide to post something about how trivial, dumb or pointless something someone else has said, as if to show off to my little buddies on the internet.

And I don't expect my little buddies on the internet to get all defensive when I'm called out on doing that.... as if I'm in the right to do so, but they're not allowed to dish it back in a similar fashion....... because I don't do it in the first place. (Unless someone else starts it)

Well rather then trying to defend him and telling me what you think he means, how about letting him speak for himself?

^ Sorry, does that seem condescending as well?

I'm not actually trying to be..... it's how I type, as I'm more of a straight to the point kind of guy..... could also be my accent too, lol. That could be the issue.

I think most of your posts for DNesh needed to be reported, but I let it all slide.

I'll just say one more thing, and then I'll ignore, but what's that common denominator? You

You remind me HRH on crack.

It is fun how he is putting all these words in our daily vocabulary.......I find myself using, winning, epic...and, duh! a lot more these days.

I hope it is all an act like you think, Violet. I just don't know why someone would want to give up a 2 million dollar gig for this new act.

Maybe he will be the first crack head to keep it all together. When they do manage to function they are only half functioning. Charley is lucky he probably has someone to pay all his bills. Real crack heads fail miserably at that.

He should market this! This is hysterical..... _lmao_

I dont think the whole thing is an act... I just think its a stunt.

One of my good friends is an ex-crack addict.. hes been clean for 9yrs.

There are some things that drugs do to your brain that you cant take back..... but ..Sheen may still turn out ok... Robert Downy Jr comes to mind.
All my posts are done from my tablet. I apologize for all strange errors in my posts... as swype hates me. :violet:

In a nutshell, WTF has this thread turned into?

If all these long posts are about Charlie Sheen's degenerate lifestyle, I just can't muster the will to read any of it
The thing I never get is when people can't be bothered to read something, they take the time just to post that they don't have the time..... exactly what does that accomplish anyways?

You complain about people making long winded posts about "Charlie Sheen's degenerate lifestyle" as if the topic isn't even worth talking about.... yet you're the one who clicked the thread to read it, and then post that you can't be bothered to read any of it.

That makes a lot of sense.

Why not just avoid the thread all together and let it die slowly into the archives, rather then posting in the thread and thus, keeping it alive longer?
Frankly, because the people who posted in it were keeping it in a very prominent spot for longer than I usually see, in a subject like this here

Those people here, are... my friends. I'm not only looking for personally appealing subjects to participate in, around here. I check in to see what my friends are up to. I'm interested in THEM, & what they might be talking about

So it piqued my curiosity, to know just what was going on in here. Normally, I read & write all kinds of long posts at this board, because the people who make or read them are important to me.

However, to me, Charlie Sheen isn't that interesting. So I made an aside comment about the rareness of such lengthy commentary being about the topic of Charlie Sheen, of all things.

Furthermore, perhaps if you were more familiar with my usual behavior around here, you might have realized that the above quoted comment of mine is maybe the only time I've ever made comment about the lengthiness of posts here, because at almost all other times, I enjoy reading them. Therefore, the oddity of this being the one subject which left me unwilling to do so was worthy of a brief comment of its own, at least in a community where I have some long standing friends, who understand

And perhaps he thinks long posts regarding Charlie Sheen aren't really that important, thus why he asked this.

Thank you for noticing that it wasn't a complaint :hugs:

Oh, & for the record, it was my way of making a joke. It was supposed to be a joke on the fact that this thread is about peoples' opinions of Charlie Sheen, & my opinion of him is that he's........................ Hardly worthy of such an in depth conversation

& just like that............. BAM!............... We're back on topic!

Epic has been around for years, duh for decades, DNesh. :rachel:

Winning is the only catchphrase I see catching on.
Yea...I know...but, he has suddenly given new life to the words ...and, they are just so fun to say now...when said with the same passion that he brings to the table...especially when everyone around you is in on the joke....and, I don't know...it just brings a sense of fun to an otherwise regular ho hum day........I mean he just don't go "duh"....He goes "DU-HHHHH!!!!"

You keep going on about the crack, yet most of the reports I've come across notes cocaine.

But I suppose because you believe it, it must be true and must be absolute fact, right?

And then we hear you going on about how many rocks of crack he smoked in a crack pipe....... where were you during all of this to know so damn much about what's really going on? Who's hearsay are you relying on?

The thing is, many of these reports you rely on are from un-named sources stating hearsay.

Ohhh...this just keeps getting better.....Praxius quote to me..

If it was fact, then I and everybody else in here and around the world would be agreeing with you.
:liz:

I was sitting in my living room listening to Charley Sheen tell it like it is on 20/20 during prime Time. Maybe you went to bed early that night..... _lmao_

In the states we call this, " right out of the horses mouth' :rachel:

But....I am sure you will find a way to tell me I am wrong and he never claimed to smoke crack...just because he used the vernacular rocks. But, what the hey. it's all good where you come from, right.

Charley's direct quote....." probably took more than anybody could survive. ... I was bangin' seven-gram rocks and finishing them because that's how I roll, because I have one speed, one gear. [I survived] because I'm me. I'm different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man. Dying's for fools, dying's for amateurs."

You had the nerve to say to me.....

I don't think I am the first one he insulted in the thread. How long do you expect to let one person insult other people without other people starting to defend themselves. And...trust me...I am holding back. I don't even know where I insulted him at this point. I will re-read my thread..and, change something...but, Wow! That is all I got to say...and, that is not directed at you, Wissa.

I hope so. I love Robert Downey, jr. He did put himself through the mill. Bravo...for your friend, Violet..... Really, Bravo.....

My brother had 3.5 under his belt when he ......fucking asshole!!
This is not a drug you can play with unless you enjoy playing with fire and want to burn the whole house down. It is sorrowful when their flames catch hold to the surrounding innocents of family and they get scorched. Kids do not deserve this. It sucks losing a relationship to drugs. I only have one brother.

And...the damage he has done to his kids their entire growing life...they are in their early twenties now....and, the pain to them has been horrffic not having a father you can rely on.....and, my parents suffered horribly for 15 years.....and, my sister and I barely speak because she just did not think I should have helped him. He raped/looted my parents of so much money. He stold from the family. My sister will never forgive him. She has issues with me because of that. I would have done the same for her. My middle name is loyalty though I would not have gotten that help from them if the shoe was on the other foot.. We are who we are inside.....and, that is who I am. I am so glad he was clean for two year before my Mother died.

Brava to your friend, Violet. That is fantastic! :dewleaf:

This is the problem when you lead by your emotions in these matters and do not look at the whole situation objectively..... you act like you really care, but in reality, you only care about looking superior in your way of life over those you finger wag at and try and impress those around you with your higher morals.
totally inappropriate Prax. There is no need to insult anyone here.

the thread above the post I made about people insulting each other was the one I am referring to.

I agree you were responding to insulting comments yourself but the proper action is to report posts you feel are insulting and not to start doing it back.
