people blame the company that he keeps for his behavior,
but i hear money (big money) brings out your true nature.
The company he keeps is all people who either want to have him or be him, so the him factor is all that matters. If he acted like a him that was worth a shit, people would have to respect that, at least as much as they celebrate or tolerate what he chooses to be instead, which is someone who lets his fame inflate his ego, like so many other people do, & makes him think he's allowed to do whatever he pleases, & basically if you want to blame something besides him for him becoming what he is, then you might as well blame youtube, because that's where he started & I'd have liked him to remain there if this is all he's capable of being

Why have people crawl out of the common masses to become what we already have too much of, pampered, immature, egomaniacs who get celebrated for what amounts to very little substance. What does it say about our culture that we care at all about people like this, let alone that we now pluck them from the depths of the streaming abyss?

He's not even worth that rant, & if you go find that thread we have here about him, I'm pretty sure I predicted this going down the dark road loooong ago

He's going to be one seriously broke down old man someday. Whether he still has money or not won't matter. He'll be a gag reel. I just hope for his sake he doesn't end up putting a gun in his mouth

Do we ever hear about Timberlake having these problems? I don't even remember too much of it when he was Bieber's age. Fame can make you disastrously uninhibited. Put a tourniquet on it before it destroys you

Live long and prosper.....!!

I admit that I don't like the guy, but let's be honest here for a moment - does he behave any differently than 'pop stars' from the 50s, 60s, 70s and so on ?? Very few people are 'made' into pop stars, the majority set out to become pop stars and everything that goes with it, especially money and fame. People like Lady Gaga set out to be deliberately controversial, and very few live 'the quiet life' !!

Just look at the lifestyles of pop stars like David Bowie, Keith Moon and others, and you'll see what I mean. So if Bieber behaves a bit outrageously sometimes, he's just following the traditions that others have already set. I'm not excusing him, not by any means, but I do understand him !!

The difference is, Keith Moon and the like are from a different time. Their parents weren't managers or part of their inner group. The money wasnt as much and the group of friends weren't as bad as they are now in regards to free loading.

Yeah agreed it was a different time, and money was worth more then than it is now, so relatively speaking you could buy a lot for very little, whereas today it helps to have millions in the bank !!

But going back to Keith Moon, I think he was the first one to drive his Rolls Royce car into his swimming pool, which has been copied since. But hey, that's rock and roll !!

Comparing him to other people who've behaved badly doesn't make his behavior any less objectionable. At least back then we didn't have a media desperate to capture every single increment of a celebrity's fall from grace

Gave him whatever he wanted :p

Ironically, that's why every person that ever came to America decided to come here, to get things they wanted but couldn't get elsewhere. The difference being that if & when they are fortunate enough to actually get them, the appropriate behavior is to be humble & show some gratitude

Maybe y'all should've packed some of that in with his underoose before you shipped him here :teehee:

THIS JUST IN.....The Beebs has done it again......

.....A set of DJ's at WEND here in the Charlotte + area said that theguy and some cohorts had forced the pilot who was flying them wherever, to don an OXYGEN MASK-did someone yank the door open? NOPES. Seems, Bieber and co. were smoking pot-weed-whatever-and, to I guess to an extent, that polluted up the internal environment so much, that was the only way the PERSON IN WHOSE HANDS-BESIDES GOD-THEY WERE IN, AT THOUSANDS OF FEET UP!!!.... :afraid: -could keep their head together!!!! And you thought fatigue was a problem!!! Man!!!

.....Way to go, Beebs!! :wissa:

 Sorry to the Bieberites, but, IT AIN'T HIM!!...

..Classic Rock, and symphonic(ST, SF, or whatever sounds good) are my bread and butter. Feel free to pm me about any and all, if such is yer wont.

But, to Justin, I think that his age mnakes him particulalrly vulnerable, as it did with Todd Bridges, and others. A lot of fame, and money, at an age when you haven't fully formed you worldview, and values. OF COURSE, as stated prior by my fellow mems, adult rockers are hardly strangers to the 'maladies of fame'. And, plus, somehow, they seemed to get away with it better!! (Still loves me 70's ditties)

Funny how once they are dead everyone posts loving pics on facebook and wring their hands about the horrors of addiction, but when they are living with addiction it's a big joke and they are the object of ridicule.

I have been listening to a Modern Rock station of late-I would add bands like Nirvana, and ones more recent, to my likes list, depending on whom, but, last week I heard a DJ on said station describe how Curt Cobain '' Blew his head off''. I felt that was dispespectful, coming from someone at a station devoted to the very trend in music that Nirvana was at the core of. Just didn't strike me as appropriate. Everyone knows how Curt died. It's tragic, from a human standpoint, and from an artistic view. Who knows what he and his fellow bandmates might have done later? We all have, I think, or may do, our weaknesses, our fears, or phobias. The things that can drive out what others might, or would see as Reason. Yes..I have my own issues, though they are not related to drugs, thank God. I guess I've been lucky, that I wasn't exposed, by virtue of a peer group, to same. Anyway, it's a complex world.....
