I agree. You can go to school when the career settles down. Which no doubt it will.

She also probably realized that if she ever wanted to have a successful adult career, then dropping out on it during its highest point of media exposure, even to focus on something beneficial like school, might do a great deal to hinder any future success. It's a lot easier to get lead actor work, when you are that girl who's in Harry Potter, not quite as easy, when you are that woman who use to be the girl in Harry Potter.

If she wants to be an actress, now is not the time to stop being in movies, especially considering that it's likely a much more lucrative career than whatever she's studying at school, AND she's already in the business, whereas at school she's likely learning about some career that she hasn't even gotten herself into yet, unless she's studying acting, in which case, on the job training is the way to go

It happens this way a lot with school age actors. I remember Kristen Stewart doing a lot of talking about taking a break from acting, because "Pretending to be other people, isn't all there is in the world"

& then BAM a huge multi-picture Twilight deal. So they are just young & don't know what's up, when they make these decisions, & they come around after a short while
I beg to differ, look at Jodie Foster.

She became a bigger more successful star AFTER getting her degree at Yale.

it was a different time. And her career wasn't as hot when she went to school.

I beg to differ, look at Jodie Foster.

She became a bigger more successful star AFTER getting her degree at Yale.
She also kept the momentum going by doing four films during those years too ('81-'85), & her childhood career had ended fairly well by 1977 anyway, which is when she took about a 3 year break, because of what was almost career saturation. Emma Watson isn't at a point of career saturation. She has only ever really been associated with one film franchise, barring a couple of other smaller outings.

Now is not the time to back away. If she wants to still have a shot at long term major motion picture success, then she needs to find something to keep her hot, or there may be no momentum to get back, like Foster did. Whereas, Jodie had never really been associated with only one big role like that. She had a much fuller career up to the point she went to college. Two totally different situations really, Foster & Watson

& yes, the motion picture environment is a lot different now, more fleeting, especially for a phenom type

but most of all, not everyone can be Jodie Foster. In fact, almost no on has even come close. She's probably only one of 3 child actors to have ever made it through that process, & still managed to be well balanced & wildly successful, the others I'm thinking of are Ron Howard, & maybe Natalie Portman

L'Étoile du Nord

I was wondering how a house that size could only have 4 bedrooms, until I got to this part:

The family lived in the house throughout most of the filming, moving into the four-room master bedroom suite.

Well, that must be the life... unfortunately, Georgian is totally not my style.

I wouldn't be surprised if he changes his name to a more conventional name whenever he turns 18 years old.

If I was going to give my kid an off-the-wall name, I'm give them a more conventionally normal middle name so at least they'd have that.

Are celebrities as a group just stupid people? Why do they keep doing this to their children?
