not much has made me squeamish in this show but that missing leg sure did. lol
Not the slitting of human throats over a tub, like a pig slaughter? Frankly, that's a new step they've pushed for acceptable censor standards, right there. A couple years ago, slitting throats, like that, is not happening. That is full blown R rated standing there. A missing leg & dude chewing on some jerky? Not even close. Hershel's leg hack was gorier

And by the by, it's actually incredibly hard to surgically amputate someone's limb & keep them alive & conscious, with primitive means, and downright impossible around a damn campfire, sitting in the dirt. If Bob ever came to again, he'd be screaming like a horse in a barn fire, unless they happened to stop by their Terminus medicine cabinet to grab some morphine.

C'mon. It stretched the limits of believability when they did it to Hershel, & had the prison facilities to make use of. These guys had whateve they had on them when they ran for their lives from the burning Terminus compound. Garath was shot, & Tyrese's punching bag buddy was seperated & probably beaten to a pulp. How are these asses in any condition to track & capture a grown man, drag him to a secluded corner of backwoods & perform limb surgery? Guh... Medical inaccuracies. It's probably my own fault for working in a hospital. lol

I'm loving all the action this season. So I wonder what happened to Beth. They showed her in the coming attractions for next week. She's in some kind of hospital or something.

I had this really cool idea that I hope is where they're going with Beth. She had an IV line in. Somehow I doubt it was for introducing fluids or something like that. She was perfectly healthy when they grabbed her. So it's either one of 2 things. They are drawing blood for a test to see if she's infected, which seems really unlikely that they'd need to go to all that trouble...

OR! They are using her as a blood donor, and are using her blood for a transfusion. Maybe someone is trying to treat infected people, in some way, with uninfected blood, as a means for a cure. They haven't done anything like that yet on this show, and it could be kind of cool to see. Even if it goes badly with confrontation, at least “Our” group could learn something new. Then again, it's more likely that if they go with that plot, it would end up being a failed experiment anyway... but maybe not. It wouldn't change that they live in a undead apocalypse, just that getting bitten is a certain death sentence. Maybe they could save someone

I don't know... It's a thought

I like those ideas, only I don't think the line was red, which it would be if they were drawing blood from her.

My guess is that the IV line is to keep her sedated, but that doesn't rule out your theory by a long shot.

Aww crap, you're right. I hadn't noticed the color of the line. The damn trailer was so quick. Lol It's still possible though, I guess. What other reasons could there be for anybody to be working out of a hospital, with abductees?

I suppose there's other possibilities, but I can't think of any off the top of my head

they are waiting to be rescued of course.

I'm not digging this season so far. It just is starting to get repetitive :(

Especially when they clumsily split the group up once again, against what would be obvious good judgement that they should all have by now, only so they can manage to write for the individuals more easily

And to be honest, it all seems like a rather transparent telegraph. Twice this season we have already encountered wrong doers, who "Use to be good", and almost every time they encounter a group, some or all of it is seeking to do them harm in some way, and they have "Our" group go a little further dark, so they can draw the parallel of maybe this kind of thing will eventually happen to our group. What I see coming this season is that our group will come across a group who is essentially decent, & they will be too jaded & destroy them without realizing

That's the only way this can be going, because the alternative is that they are hoping they can just keep introducing some kind of half-assed antagonist of the week & that will keep us interested, which everyone knows it won't. Plus, we will eventually run out of archetypes. This week we have evil police state, last week cannibals, before that, the code gang, before that, the dictatorship, etc...

Holy Shit! I just looked up the wiki timeline. It's been 13 episodes since Hershel & the Prison fell, but in world, it's only been 10 days. That episode aired 11 months ago

10 days since the prison fell? So each episode represented about a day? It still seems unbelievable.

I've liked this season so far. I think we'll see Noah again and they still haven't done anything with Morgan. It makes sense that there are these clusters of survivors and they all have their issues. Just like our group is developing issues. But it depends where they take all of it.

I also find it strange that Maggie has never asked about Beth.

Actually, they bounced on the same day or two more than once, back just after the prison fell, because we had to get the various stories of each group, Rick, Carl, Michonne - Maggie, Sasha Bob - Tyrese, Carol, the girls - Beth & Daryl - Glenn, Tara & the newbs

Maggie has asked about Beth. People are making too big a deal about that, imho. In the opening scene of this season, there are a few voice overs of the characters, while they are fashioning their crude weapons in the train car. One is Eugene babbling about his D.C. nonsense, One is Sasha asking about Tyrese, who no one has seen & one is Daryl explaining to Maggie about Beth's abduction & the crucifix car. It's been discussed, there was nothing they could do about it at that point anyhow, so way keep harping on it?

Is it any less reasonable than the fact that they've maybe only mentioned Hershel once or twice in the 10 days since his was decapitated in front of them?

Well Hershel is gone. They know what happened to him. But Beth could still be out there and needs their help and she is Maggie's younger sister. I just find it odd that Maggie left for Washington without mentioning Beth at all. I wonder how Beth will feel about that when she gets reunited with the group.

I find it odd that anyone left for D.C. at all, but yes, Maggie doubly so. It's unbelievable that they would just willingly split up again, when they know the odds off reuniting again... intact. The last time they had to break up, they lost the little girls, the time before that, they lost Andrea, the time before that... Sophia. They have the worst record for reuniting intact

So true.

It just dawned on me today what has been bothering me about this season and last.

Since the group is broken up, it has gotten very soap opera like. Where they start a story line about one group, then next week it's about a different group, and then the following week yet about another, and so on, so there's a waiting period in between each story line.

Well, it didn't bug me last season, because it was the first time they did it like that, with the exception of Andrea's separate story line in S3, and in S4 there was a fairly good reason given how the prison blowout went, even though I complained quite a bit about how after they scrambled out of Hershel's farm, they should've put together a solid evac plan & fallback location at the prison

But the story breakup wasn't so terrible... last time. This time, the reasoning is asinine, and the execution is coming off lazy because it's arranged the same as last season

For the 1st time ever, I'm completely uninterested in this week's episode, because it's about the Abraham group. I didn't like that they split off. I don't like that they are buying Eugene's BS so easily, and I hate that we are getting spoon fed the stories in these broken up doses. 1 + 1 + 1 = Yawn. I imagine they'll be whooping up the action & conflict big time, based on what I saw in the teaser, but I really think it'll fall short for me :(

Actually, the action didn't live up this week. One silly bus crash & a couple walker run-ins. The firehose just seemed absurd, but whatevs. At least they got the Eugene BS out of the way. Maybe we can salvage the half season now.

Another episode down, & still only 10 days since the fall of the prison, and it looks like next week backtracks to the night Carol/Daryl chase down the crucifix car. lol

Now that the Eugene stuff is out of the way, I'm thinking this is going to become about the hospital. Maybe they start experimenting medically to find a cure now that they know Eugene doesn't have one. Just a thought....

so happy they didn't drag out the Eugene thing. But it might have been interesting to go to Washington.
