^ I agree it does give more of the proper "Wasteland" feel. I have to admit being slightly disappointed that there was absolutely no regroup plan at all. Crisis planning is almost a no brainer in this world, and after their issues with the Governor, the first time, this counsel they had built should certainly have put together a regroup plan for any potential cause for evacuation Did they really think there'd never be cause for an evacuation? A fire, an earthquake, a hurricane, raiders, a mass herd. Hell, a plain old modern family has an evacuation plan for their household these days, & that's usually for less than half a dozen people. This was a community of dozens living in a prison, after the end of civilization, & now they're just scattered to the wind. If Michonne hadn't spotted decidedly normal human footprints, they'd never have even found each other at all All they really needed was a couple spots. We escape to here, & rendezvous there, etc... I suppose dramatically, it was too easy for them to do that. We'd have no "Isolation anxiety" to play off of, like they did with Michonne this week, because ultimately it's not the prison that made them safe, it was the group In any believable context, they would know that, & would never want to be separated from it for long. Groups do things together, including plan for how to move the group if need be |

What particularly are you omging about? I was surprised to see the baby... not surprised to see Carol. In fact, it's kind of predictable that she end up paired with Tyrese, considering, but it should still yield interesting tv Kind of surprised to see Daryl look so beaten. Not surprised to see Glen's new travel partner. I expect her sister will be soon to turn up All in all, I could see this going like this. Fracturing the group so to be able to work on them more. I just hope they don't circle back to this device often. It'll get old, but I'm willing to play along this time Missed the teaser for next week. Did I mention I love Beth? |

I knew Carol and the baby would show up, but I loved the way they revealed Carol. wonder where they are going with this whole crazy Lizzy thing. Was nice to see Glen back at the prison for a couple final scenes. Daryl was in shock, he is human. But he is still being his sweet self. I had totally forgotten the lesbian sister. So I was surprised to see her. I think her sister is dead though. Suicide by walker. the teaser next week from talking dead was just Michonne wandering around a house with a lot of paintings in it. curious to see this safe settlement, and where they are going with the new military guys |

Well, let's face it, Tyrese has got his hands full. Having Carol with him is certainly a huge aid, but he's still got a scared little girl, a psychotic little girl, an infant little girl, & a narrow minded woman who will put him down the second he becomes in any way a liability. The comedian on Talking Dead said after he'd watched all the characters in their current struggles, then Tyrese showed up, & and every dad watching the show blurted out "THAT guy has got it the worst" I was just thinking about how sweet & caring he was when he dropped that line about how useful faithfulness was to her decapitated father. You could see the stunned look on her face as she pondered how lovely a thing that was to say. He just stares at her while she's blubbering in the street. Don't get me wrong. I'm not down on Daryl, but he's definitely got something hard going on & the end result is certainly not sweet. Hopefully he will snap out of it, & I expect he will, because my money is on him getting the hookup You could do worse for a partner in the zombie apocalypse than a hot blonde girl who knows how to take down walkers. It's amazing how upbeat she is, considering how suicidal she once was. I'd be giving her huggies whenever she got the blues Nah, she'll be back. Anyone who puts a bullet in the Governor's head can't just disappear It might be she is at the settlement in that scene. I'm not sure. I have heard that Terminus is a long storyline in the comics though, & Sgt. Ginger Mustache is a fan favorite from the comic as well, & in a good way, which is good news, because that's a cool actor they have, a good replacement for Michael Rooker Frankly, I'm hoping we don't get too many more military types showing up. We've hit that beat a number of times on this show, & the last guy, with the tank was an annoying douchnozzle. On the bright side, lucky for the new military folks that the Governor is dead, or they'd have to worry with is track record around military types. Maybe these new ones are stationed out of the Terminus settlement. I'm not sure I'm just glad to finally see one of the military types is FINALLY a woman. She's probably a redshirt though BTW, the drunk medic guy (Bob was it?) seemed a little too happy to be partnered up with two hot women. He's got a snowball's chance in hell of nailing either one of them

Yeah Daryl said something shocking about Herschel, but he's right. No one could live in that world without questioning religion. And he's still kinda disfunctional. But he got up out of his stupor and followed her into the night, and he fished out a handkerchief as soon as she was picking berries, and he started tracking when she told him to. |

I'm an Atheist. I question people's faith based motives every day. What I don't do is throw it up in their face in a time of mourning. That's just hurtful, kind of a regression into old Daryl for a split second Don't get me wrong. I'm not down on him. He's still maybe the best partner to have around, but he's actually reacting like a more grief stricken person than she is. Sometimes reality busts in on old Daryl & illustrates that he might not consider that others are worse off than him, until he's said something uncool like that |

I like the new guys, but why the hell does every person with knowledge about the affliction end up being some kind of creep, who's just asking to get dead? ![]() BTW, the new bad guy at Rick's house is a notable actor (Jeff Kober). I'm certain we'll be seeing him again. Actually, if he sticks around, him & Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) are quite stellar additions to the cast of actors |

I just found that stuff with Rick in the bedroom painfully boring. And Abraham is just coming off like a lunatic so far. WE ARE GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD!!! um sure buddy. Let me off the truck now. |

He seems more like a simpleton to me, loyal, good intentions, not completely stupid, just naive. It's the "smart" guy I don't trust. He seems like a douche who's conning a free ride out of some military types with a bs story about a cure As for Rick's scenes, I wasn't so much bored as it was just cliche, & not done all that well, because I figure it was a thrown together set up for these new bad guys, but I could be wrong |

those guys sticking around would really be the only way to redeem that whole Rick part of the episode. As to Abraham, I'm referring to what the other characters must be thinking of him. Smiling while he killed walkers, driving around in a big ass truck with a half naked girl claiming he is "saving the world" |

With all the regulars have been through, it's surprising they can trust anybody at this point. From my perspective, I'd have even been a bit leery of Rick in the beginning, wearing his stupid redneck sheriff hat around. Anybody going around dressed in some military or law enforcement costume after civilization has fallen should be treated as potentially problematic. You ain't no part of no kind of authority no more chief, & you ain't no sheriff or Sgt. in my world. It's not like Abraham is really running a military outfit anyhow. It took all of 30 minutes to establish that, when his girlfriend wandered off & his holy grail called him stupid |

back when Rick wandered in with his hat I bet people were still thinking that some authority could fix things. That society was still going to win somehow. Now someone thinking things can be fixed should be somewhat of a joke. Some poor fool who can't deal with reality. |

Don't get me wrong. As a viewer, I didn't hold it against Rick. Actually, he had a valid excuse, being in a coma & not having seen civilization fall. Any other survivor who had previously been a cop should have been savvy enough to ditch the uniform even by the time Rick was wearing his Frankly, you are actually making things worse for yourself by going around with that stigma about you. For one, people will think you're nuts, or two, people will think you're a sucker & easy game. Look what the Governor did to both groups that had military types leading them. He got them all killed, or murdered them. Plus, it's too soon to tell, but Abraham might even be getting conned by the douchy doc. So basically, every military type thus far could end up being some sort of chump Having said all that, with the timeline going on almost 2 years since the fall, I'm betting there actually is some kind of societal rebirth going on out there, but unfortunately, I don't think it's Terminus, even though that might provide some sanctuary for a short while, & I certainly don't think it would be in a place like D.C. |

Oh I don't doubt rebirth. And I don't think the survivors do either. But some sort of "save the world" idea that things are going to go back to the way they were is just crazy. |

and how did they get that far away from the prison anyway? I thought they were all pinned in by herds of walkers. |

I just figure that the statement about the herds pinning them in was made just after the winter before they ever took up in the prison. They spent like half a year in that prison before recent events caused them to abandon it. Things had to have cleared up somewhere. |

Is this phenomenon starting to die down finally? I never got bit by it. Yeah that pun what totally intended and no pardon is necessary. |
