Yeah, it's getting tired, quick, & hopefully it has some kind of awful consequence, to end it once & for all, one way or the other

I'm really hoping that Andrea's new found inspiration to rally the community ends up with her being dead, dumbass that she is. She may now realize he's not quite sane, or isn't the leader she once thought him, but she still has no idea who that whackjob Governor is or what he's capable of, if he thinks she's trying to take over. That could go quite badly for her

& ought to, imo. The last days of civilization is no time to be a dumb ass

To his credit, that's not entirely true. It's obvious that he loved her. His problem with her while she was still around was that he could not reconcile being a loving husband with being the leader of a post-apocalyptic slaughter horde. Loving life partner had to take a back seat to bastard that keeps everyone alive. Of course that didn't sit well with her, which made things worse

It reminds me of that line Mal says to Inara in Serenity "But you fog things up! You always have. You spin me about. I wish like hell you were elsewhere."

With love comes uncertainty & vulnerability, & guess what you don't wanna have when you're staving off your family's gruesome demise every minute of the day?

& in the end, it was a waste of effort, because she ended up dead anyway, & suddenly he was fresh out of opportunities to remind her he still loved her

He's had a shit plan all along & it's cost him & his family dearly, aaaaannnnddd......... They're coming to take me away ha ha, they're coming to take me away ho ho he he ha ha :teehee: Off to the funny farm for Rick

awesome episode. Loved the interactions between Daryl and Merle and how fast Daryl realized where he belonged. I'm a little annoyed at how far they are taking this Maggie thing. It's out of proportion to what really happened. Rick's crazyness is getting old

Yes, what you and Wissa said about Rick and Andrea.

Rick has made stupid decision after stupid decision.

Andrea is just a self-centered asshole.

I get my episodes on amazon. They're only like $2.48 for HD. I haven't seen this week's episode yet, either.

some random Walking thoughts

I wonder how much discovering Andrea is alive and they just left her behind is contributing to Rick's guilt breakdown?

I also wonder how long it will be before Merle realizes getting his hand cut off meant he got hot showers for the last year and enough food that he still looks down on scavenging as a food source.

Maybe there's something in the new episode about that, which I don't know about yet. Merle isn't liking scavenging for food?

I have to say that if that's the case, it likely isn't about Merle looking down on it, as in he's too pampered. It's about the new paradigm of life on Earth. There's two kinds of survival schools, scavenging, & pillaging.

Rick's group are scavengers, probably the noblest class of scavengers you'll ever find in the world now. Woodbury, as civilized as it appears on the surface, is a group of pillagers at its core. If someone has something they want, they take it & kill the owner.

That is who Merle is now, but it ain't who Daryl is.

My personal opinion?

Because we sit each week & often watch main characters die, not because they're stupid, not because they're wrong, not because they're bad. just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, & their luck ran out

That's the world of the walking dead. Eventually your luck runs out.

Andrea has very often been stupid, & wrong, and though I wouldn't call her bad, I never felt she was all that good in any group she was in. Those things should lessen your odds, but instead, Andrea has had the longest lucky streak of any character on the show.

Shit hits the fan, a farmer takes you in, get separated from the group, a samurai chick takes you in, get sick on the road, & get abducted by a community run by marauders, & they treat you like the Queen of England

I don't expect the show to be fair, but I do expect it to make sense. Andrea continuing to amble about the post-apocalypse without a single sensible thought in her head, & suffering no personal repercussions makes no sense. That's why I keep expecting that eventually there will be a repercussion coming down the line. It's long overdue.

This as opposed to Rick, who's insanity has become annoying, yes, but considering that since the guy woke up from his coma he has been the King Midas of shit luck, it makes sense that he's going to lose it. Everything he touches turns to shit, & anybody he cares about suffers for it. I imagine that would have a way of negatively affecting your psychological & emotional well being

But his situation can't last either. Ultimately, they both either need to snap out of it, or face the music
