Still pretty good Spoiler: click to toggle Why would someone in handcuffs, cut their hand off, to escape death from exposure, & dehydration. I can understand having to make a hard decision in a life or death situation, where you can't cut through the cuffs, or what they are cuffed to, but your WHOLE hand? I mean sawing off your thumb would be easier, & just as effective, not to mention less of a sacrifice
Sounds like the premise for a true life story made into a movie by an academy award winning director! Oh yeah...............127 Hours...................... That is what I was thinking too!!
Spoiler: click to toggle I was thinking about the man who amputated his own arm when it was crushed during a rock climbing adventure. That scene on the roof top of that department store, I about about the Saw movies.
Anyways, I am wondering how Merryill got off that roof top. I don't think the walkers have eaten him because when Rick and gang came back, the door wasn't busted down. It was still locked up.
OOoh OOh, we also found out about the little affair between Rick's wife and Shane. Shane convinced her that Rick was dead. Somehow she found comfort in him??

Spoiler: click to toggle A friend of mine thinks Merle might get helped by the black guy, & his son, from the pilot. Last we heard from them, they were on their way to Atlanta, to meet up with the sheriff. How weird would THAT be? Probably unlikely though. It's more likely that Merle will be out for revenge on the campers, after stealing their truck That was a large group of walkers wandering in the woods. I think somebody already pointed out that as feeding gets thin in the cities, they will begin spreading out rurally.

Frank Darabont Axes All Writers from THE WALKING DEAD by Ethan Anderton Posted:November 30th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
With such a successful short-but-sweet first season that has already garnered increased ratings and a successful series order, what could be wrong with the writing staff of AMC’s new hit series The Walking Dead? Well, nothing may be wrong per se, but there is something going on behind the scenes as Deadline reports series writer/executive producer/director Frank Darabont has gotten rid of all the writers from this first season. The industry blog points out that while writing staffs do have line-up changes from season-to-season, a complete overhaul isn’t customary. Apparently Darabont is looking to work through the second season without a writing staff and merely assign scripts to freelance writers.
While this might seem a bit out of the ordinary, Darabont does come from feature films (although he was also behind some of The Young Indiana Jones), so maybe he’s just shaking things up a bit (after all he was involved with writing nearly all of the episodes from the first season). It’s also mentioned that the freelance method of writing has been mostly successfully employed for Torchwood from Starz and BBC (a method borrowed from the UK where the show was originally spawned). However, this new method may bring some heat from the Writers Guild and could even prove difficult with 13 episodes lined up for the second season. Apparently the decision to use freelance writers isn’t final, and the series may end up utilizing both a writing staff and freelancers from time to time. I just hope this doesn’t screw up what has been one of the best new series on television. A writing staff can help create unity in the story and usually is extremely well-versed in the show’s mythology, which, in the case of a comic adaptation like this, would be very helpful. I’m not saying this is a bad idea, but it does seem to prove rather worrisome.
What do you guys think?

And keep the story in a survival mode type deal.

Spoiler: click to toggle That is what I thought too!!! I missed the entire first half but saw that they were in a convoy on the way to the CDC. They left that guy on the side of the road. Then it flashes to that CDC's research scientist in the lab where he got clumsy, knocked over stuff and the lab decontaminated itself losing all the samples. He said something about not having a fresh sample. What I am thinking is that they are either going back to get that guy on the side of the road or one of them is infected. I'm thinking Andrea since she was in deep contact with her sister's blood. I'm thinking that its spread like any other blood born pathogen is spread by direct contact with the blood.

Gee, I hope he knows what he's' doing. I'd hate for it to get derailed. I'm already disappointed to find out that there's only one more episode to the 1st season
Spoiler: click to toggle Oh yeah, CDC guy is definitely going to want a sample from the guy they left behind. Why would Meryl endanger his brother though, by leading in walkers? Lord knows we haven't seen the last of him though, & I'm certain we'll see Morgan & his son again (From the pilot), & I've considered it possible that they may be together with Meryl, as unthinkable as that might be

Spoiler: click to toggle Yes, I think Andrea has it from what they showed of the previews.
Going back to get that guy when they're low on gas? No, I don't think so. What I think is eventually he'll be a walker because I do think he was having flashes of what he'll look like once he becomes a walker.
Brave man, he knew what he was becoming and ended things on his terms, though I really did think for a moment the cross bow was going to go up and shoot him right between the eyes!

Spoiler: click to toggle I think if someone had shot him they would have done him a favour. Why would someone just lay down and wait to become a walker? I loved the bit in the city about the nursing home. Totally plays on people's stereotypes and then throws it back in their face. Meryl is so going to find that note and come after them.
looks like there were lots of walkers around the cdc so I doubt they will have to go back for thier guy. Though it looks like lots of them are still carrying it.
Shouldn't some of them be immune though? almost all contagious diseases have a few immune people in the population.
any idea where it came from? I think I have to find the first two online and watch them.
