caught up on episodes 2, 3, & 4 tonight. I think its funny how andrea questions the governor about things.. when if she was in charge.. she would have done the same thing she would have taken away weapons.. blind folded and kept her location secret too. |
All my posts are done from my tablet. I apologize for all strange errors in my posts... as swype hates me. ![]() | |

I think the choices were lori and the baby dying or just Lori. I don't think there was an option there where lori lived.

I think the implication was that Lori could have waited for Herschel and the other lady (drawing a blank on the name) and she would have had a successful c-section, but the baby would probably have died. |

Still, she died in a matter of a few minutes after whatever bled a bit on Maggie's hand. It's not like it was a main artery bleed. It was abdominal vessel bleeding like a placental abruption or something. It should have taken longer for her to die, which is why I asked if anyone took her pulse. She could have just been unconscious The whole scene was thin, considering it was a non-science fiction related death. I personally would have preferred her getting bit, & then, much like amputating Hershel's leg, they choose to gut her a.s.a.p to rescue the baby, & then there'd be a freaky time period where we'd have to wonder if the baby had been infected Or even better, Lori get's bit, they extract the baby, & instead of being infected by the mother host, the baby develops an unexplained immunity to infection! Now THAT would be damn cool!

Or A human / zombie hybrid. Frankenstein shit. Don't remember if it came out this way in the show, but in the novels, people die from the bite. The bite doesn't turn them, it kills them and then everyone who dies comes back as a zombie. |

her dying like that doesn't really make much sense at all. it would have to have been placenta abruption or placenta previa. I don't think either indicate a c-section will be necessary the next time. And she would have had symptoms of placenta previa though the pregnancy. Once you start bleeding heavily from either though the mother could die in 20 minutes and the baby in 5 |

She died in like 5 though. It was Cut. Scream. Die. I suppose it could have been 20 minutes in "Movie" time since the rupture event though, but it just seemed way too quick.
That's the way it is on the show too. Bites cause a feverish infection or virus/disease which causes death. Dead corpse is reanimated for all undamaged brains Which is why a baby in utero might be kind of cool, because it's not bit, but it is exposed to an infected bloodstream, & since this show is kind of loose on that aspect, i.e. people's eyes, nose, mouth are splashed with blood often, perhaps standard bloodborn exposure might not infect the way a bite does, with it's specific bacteria Opening the fantasy plot possibility for a bloodborn exposure via umbilical filtering to cause an immunity to infection |

That's my whole point. Generally in film fiction, the tendency is to up human capacity. Amputation? Up on crutches in a week or two. Wake up from a month long coma? Walking the streets in less than ten minutes. Get shot? Couple splashes of vodka & a sewing kit from someone's purse. Heals up in no time. Thrown from a speeding car? You can be up & chasing them before the camera shot is over Have five minutes of labor difficulty? Somebody put a bullet in her, like crippled horse |

I dont think she died till she was shot in the head. theres no way she was dead yet... when I watched.. I assumed she was in the process of dying.. unconscious.. carl wouldn't know the difference.. the death scene is very different than the graphic novel.. lori died from being shot.. while running away from something.. and it was after the baby was born also carl and rick saw her get shot Im not sure if you guys care about the graphic novel.. I just like noting the differences |

so my group of walking dead watchers had this theory... that lori was still alive and Carol had found her... and sewn her back up or something... guess not though.. that zombie had loris hair hanging out of its mouth that theory would have been good.. explained where the hell carol has been... Im assuming shes just lost in the prison |

We know almost nothing about Daryl, except he has a batshit crazy brother. They really need to fix that. We knew nothing about T-Dog & look what they ended up doing to him... writing him off Yeah, the bloat bellied walker that Rick gutted ate Lori. That much was discussed on the Talking Dead broadcast. Why he gutted it is open for discussion. Perhaps just insanity, which people seem to think he's going, or I tend to think he was looking for her ring Interesting side note. We've seen many people die, plenty get bit, & some get overrun & even torn up, but Lori & T-Dog are something of a milestone. We haven't seen any main characters get completely devoured till now, to my recollection |

they said on talking dead that the actor who plays rick has been carrying around the bullet from that scene in his pocket for every scene shot since then. anyone else catch the "jacket" that creepy science dude was wearing? I think it was duct tape. Now why hasn't anyone thought of that before? you think Daryl would be good with duct tape. |
