There can be only one

Damn that's fucked up Neshy :liz:
The unambiguous and defined essence of a truest friend, is a single soul, shared in two bodies. A person who completes you so, that it pains you when they hurt, and sustains you when they are with you, no matter how far.

I can tell, first hand, that your kids will never have enough toys. They always want more and the ones you buy are played with for a little while and forgotten.

We started out going crazy buying lots of toys for Christmas and such. Now, we've decided we buy two toys each, that's it.

The toys end up broken and in a pile that grows and grows. I just did a cleaning last night and got rid of a bag full of toys they never play with.

Parenting is an expensive education.

I quit buying toys for my goddaughter and her brother because they get so much and their mother doesn't let them keep hardly any of them. (Mostly because they get so much) and that she re-gifts the toys to other children. So holidays, I stick to buying plain clothes. It's something they really could utlize better.

:crying: I miss when they were both in the Elmo phase.

My nieces always play with the same few toys... so they dont have the toy problem, that ALI mentioned yet...
there are a bunch of toys in her room.. but nothing compared to what I had.. and I didnt play with most of the stuff either..

The elmo Phase is so cute!! I love it too Pondy!

I guess they have good imaginations too.. cause the oldest pretends a hairbrush is a wrench.. and goes around fixing things... like the table and the couch!

I still buy my kids a lot of toys for christmas but the vast majority of them are under $20 and they are rarely the ones they want. The ones they want never look like any fun.

Live long and prosper.....!!

Put a bunch of kids in a room full of toys and watch, you'll soon get an idea what they like best and are likely to play with the most, xmas/birthday gift list solved. :)

Like a Market research company conducting a focus group. There's a easier way of doing that. :p

Kids can be fickle too. Like my goddaughter, one year she was very into Dora the Explorer and 8 months later she was fussing how she didn't like Dora anymore because Dora is for babies. Then the Barbie thing, Ms. thing told me she didn't play with barbies anymore because barbies were for little girls. And that was last month on her birthday. Six months ago, she wanted Barbie everything for Christmas.

This is very true!

The 'princess' thing will get old for the daughter and she'll find something new to obsess about. She's only 3, barely out of diapers, and the mom is worried about her 'princess' phase?

Lighten up, Mom, and save your strength for the harder battles when she turns 13!
