I don't purposely tan, as my Irish genetics don't agree with the sun too much, which begs the question why the hell I'm heading to Australia of all places, lol.

But I tend to burn and go red and need to burn multiple times before I even start getting darker for a period of time...... oh and when I get sun burned, my freckles go green..... really attractive :p

I get a light tan just from being out in the sun a little bit each day during the summer. However, if I'm out in the sun for an extended time, I burn, peel & then tan. I never allow myself to get out in the sun very much because I was severely burned from staying out in the sun WAY TOO LONG whenever I was in high school. I'm so far that I fear that I might develop melanoma if I'm exposed too much.

Live long and prosper.....!!

Sadly, me too (burn that is). I've tried everything, from a few minutes a day to the whole day in the sun, but always do I burn, never tan. And when I go to clients, and see all those tans walking around, I never get jealous - Buddhists don't do that sort of thing - yeah, right !!

green?

Yeah, the freckles normally are already a light brown in color and with the red skin around them and a slight tint effect to the freckles from being burned, it gives off this slightly green look to them.

Not like vomit green or neon green.... can't find a decent shot of this online, but a subtle green.

Being mixed with white, black and polynesian, of course I am tan, Naturally and I tan darker. Although, I do give off that green pigmentation too. Especially in some photographs when my skin goes through a yellow phase. More so when I lived up North.

It's an actual fact that when I first moved here, I'd get lots of girls asking me where I tanned and what kind of oil I used. This was late 90's, early 2000's where tanning bed industry was booming here (before spray tans). At that time there were not too many mixed children in these parts. So either I got questions about where I bought my hair from the black girls (whole other story) which I didn't because I had great hair according to them or white girls asking me about the tan. :idon'tknow:

Phase pistols have two settings: stun and kill.

You didn't include a choice for: "I don't tan because I have severe roseacea; I don't go out in summer sunlight because I have a recessive vampire gene; I don't have gill implants to breathe the humidity, and I'm allergic to all pollen, mold, and insects!"

I'm still waiting for global climate change to kick in--when the heck will the next ice age get here?! I'm sweatin' bullets already!
//sigh// "...so many (male Human) Starfleet officers, so little time..."

I went to the beach yesterday. I put on suntan lotion with an SPF of 4 on the front of me and laid in the sun for 2 hours. I got slightly burned, but it's already brown. I turned over for an additional hour to get sun on my back. I didn't get burned at all, just lightly tanned and I had no sunblock on my back at all.

I guess the short answer is that I tan.
