Travel channel has a marathon right now on the scariest places on Earth like old prisons, hospitals, castles and homes. However, I think places like an actual prison with live inmates is much scarier than any abandoned one. :afraid:

I remember hearing that the Tower of London is considered to be one of the most haunted places on earth. Would love to visit it anyway. Do I remember hearing right, Jadzia?

Asylums.... just the thought of them freaks me out!

It all started when I went to Busch Gardens for Halloween.. and one of the haunted houses was based off of an insane asylum...

it was hard to have fun in that haunted house.. cause some of it seemed like it could be real.. I left feeling afraid but also sad
All my posts are done from my tablet. I apologize for all strange errors in my posts... as swype hates me. :violet:

Yea, so they say dude. Apparently, a 'grey lady' wanders the corridors every night, plus other assorted ghosts that pop up from time to time. Considering all the beheadings that have happened there, not surprising really.

A creepy old mansion is something I've always wondered about, thanks mainly to the movie The Haunting - not the remake, but the original B/W movie which I saw aged around 15, and the only movie ever to scare me - and I've always wondered how I'd react in a house like that, scared or not ?? I dunno, but it'd be fun finding out !!
R.I.P. Gummy, we'll miss you bro

It's Christmas!

Even our residential deaf school had some scary hauntings there as I have 'heard' stories from several deaf friends telling me of their old dormitory(mainly girl's darm) being haunted due to the fact that two of my friends went down in that tunnel under the girls' dorm and discovered the skeleton of a World War I solider that had died in the basement tunnel under the dorm. The school campus was one time a base camp for the WWI army. Now, those tunnels are block off from anyone getting in there. My two friends were not suppose to be there, but they were curious about the tunnel. The old tunnels were built back in the 1930's I think, don't remember but it was used from one building to another. I have not ever gone down in that tunnel, but some friends have back in 1970s when they were kids.

My ex hubby had encountered some apparitions in the old cafeteria(he wasn't suppose to be there) before it was torn down.

I was so intrigued at their stories. Even the college I went to had some hauntings, too. That one story was funny because when one of our college president became the first deaf president at the college, he stayed at the house on the campus with his hearing wife. One night the ghost we believe may have been the first president of the college(he was hearing) tries to haunt the deaf president, the deaf president's wife woke up hearing sounds and told her deaf husband about it. He just dismissed it. This happened a few times bothering her. One night she was gone visiting someplaces off campus and the deaf president stayed there at the house, the ghost tried to bother him, apparently must have realized that the deaf president was deaf because he was so sound asleep! Since then, that haunting stopped.
