Posts: 25,676 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: November 16, 2005	Issue One: why are celebrities dropping like flies lately? Well, during the 1970's the number of media outlets expanded exponentially. More and more product was needed to fill all that air time. At the same time, the coverage of celebrities began to increase. Rolling Stone became mainstream, People magazine hit the shelves and shortly thereafter Entertainment Tonight hit the air. No longer was celebrity gossip the fodder of ladies getting their hair done on saturday morning. The success of these gave rise to an entire industry to the point where now we have a show like TMZ that is about the people who cover the stars. Now they have become stars. In order to fill all this air time more and more product was needed. This newish industry of celebrity gossip began covering the lives and movements of more and more of these people in order to fill their own air time and magazine pages. The standards for "fame" became lower and lower. You end up with people who are household names whose careers were in fact quite limited. So then 40 years or so later, these stars from the 70's become old enough to begin dying off. Because there are so many of them it appears that they are dying off in huge numbers. Issue Two: Jacko; his kids and estate 2:a The kids. After the cause of death is established. The next order of business is what will happen to his kids. Right now they are apparantly with his mother. great idea. She has such a good track record of raising well adjusted members of society so far right? So maybe some other member of his family? the ones who are all bankrupt and could really use the extra cash they will bring with them? Or maybe their biological mothers? The ones who walked away from them? Last thing they need is someone else who may dissapear on them again. Who's left? And I'm not even gonna mention biology here. I hope someone has an ounce of sense and does not go a paternity test on any of those children. He was legally their father and that should be the end of the discussion at this point. The last thing those babies need is to loose their father again. I'm thinking his first wife Lisa-Marie Presley should get custody. Now hear me out. It wouldn't be the first time an ex-spouse stepped in and took custody of children born after their marriage. Especially when there is no other one competent. and she has kids in their late teens and early twenties who are always out getting drunk , and filming sex tapes, and photographed getting high right? Oh yeah, we never hear anything about them. And believe me if Elvis's grandchildren were doing any of that we would be hearing about it. she has already proven she can raise a child in that environment and do it well so I say give them to someone who is competent. 2:b the money. Or the debt rather. I say, when we give the kids to Lisa-Marie, give control of the estate over to Priscilla. Elvis was almost broke when he died. Now he's richer than he ever was in life. Let her work her magic on this estate too.
