Posts: 428 Group: capt. archer's wench ent Member #5,753 Joined: January 25, 2009	I WANT TO REMIND ALL U.S. ARCH-ANGELS THAT THE SECOND SATURDAY OF MAY IS THE NAT'L ASSOC. OF LETTER CARRIERS' ANNUAL STAMP OUT HUNGER FOOD DRIVE! Place non-perishable food items in a bag and leave it (somewhere animals and insects won't get into it) for your letter carrier. Check with your local post office if they're doing it, since many rural p.o.s do not participate, but all "city" p.o.s and facilities do. The second Saturday of May is the day before Mother's Day! Make a reservation to take out Mom, buy some groceries (buying your Mom's groceries this week would be nice), get her a card and gift, and leave a bag of food for your letter carrier! If you live outside the U.S., check with your postal service or city services if a similar food drive occurs near you.

Too bad you weren't given that option.... I'm only four miles from my post office. It's kinda a "mom and pop" Post Office, so they make us come and get it.
