I have been meaning to get some of that anti-bacterial stuff that wash your hands without a sink thing.

Its good stuff!

but.. it doesnt wash your hands... they are still dirty.. it just kills the germs.

but I recommed using it till you can wash your hands. :violet:

I noticed they wear gloves at walmart too.

now that there are confirmed albeit mild cases in neighboring counties.. I think Im going to buy a box of Gloves!

I make all my cashiers use the antibacterial stuff.. I bet it wouldn't be hard for me to convince them to wear gloves.

It's gone. Was that the article about how the worst is probably done or the one about it probably being less dangerous than the normal flu?

We have one here in the UK that claims to wash your hands without water, probably ridiculously expensive.

That's standard supply for the kids each school year, especially for their science modules. I don't think they're that expensive. I love the little ones that fit in your purse.

Vi, with money, I prefer baby wipes. I was a bank teller in high school and the dirt with the "cloth" [bills are not paper] is unreal. Your hands would be cleaner with the baby wipes than with a hand sanatizer.

There about £1.60 for a bottle. I'm going to London at the end of the month so will pick one up as will be on public transport

Baby wipes? I'll have to remember to pick some up next time I go to the grocery store. My family and I are currently using an anti-bacterial cleanser.

A girl from my daughter's school send my daughter an e-mail stating that she had just returned from the hospital for being treated for swine flu. I sure hope that she was just bsing my daughter and that it is not true. The school district where my kids attend school is one of the few districts that hasn't closed their schools so that the schools can be sanitized. Isn't a hospital or a doctor's office suppose to notify schools if a school age patient comes down with the swine flu?

Well, it turned out that my daughter's friend was just teasing...she was in school the very next day. Incidentally, all of our schools (except one or two) have all re-opened up today. My daughter was relieved that she wasn't going to have to miss any school but, my son was a bit disappointed. He told me that he could use a break from all of the homework that he has to do each day.

Unlikely, since they pushed the panic button early on it.

It really was no big deal.

The number of deaths before anyone was paying attention might have been sufficient to get the CDC to take a close look, but not for the panic that went from there. VP Biden certainly didn't help by opening his mouth.
