Just started "The Tudors".

Into the fourth episode and I really like it. Almost gave up after the first, because of all the constant sex, but that leveled out on the second.

The Captain's back...

Rick & Steve. Its a stop motion animation show that ran for 2 seasons. Its not a kids show. Very crude and totally un pc. It follows the lives of 2 gay couples and a lesbian couple.

All of the stereotypes are personified to the nth degree. Anyone who is gay or has gay people in their lives will have a hoot laughing at this.

I 'will' remember.

Two new Netflix shows I've found I loved:
Emily Owens, MD (13 episodes of the cancelled tv show. Never heard of it. Didn't give closure, left audience hanging, but Mamie Gummer was terribly interesting to me. I hadn't know M. Streep had children in acting before this show. LOL.)

And for my own taste this one is a total winner:

Terriers
I kept passing it up because I thought it was about dogs.

But no!

The casting is BRILLIANT! The stories are excellent! The characters and characterizations are winning, flawed (some deeply), but accessible & not out of the realm of my experience.

Seriously, I can't say enough good about this show. I watched the first one from boredom and binged big time the next twelve.

For sadly, this is a cancelled TV show with only 13 episodes. .... BUT... It is clear to me that the production had some idea they were not being picked up so the writers gave a final episode that gives the audience closure, with a final scene that also left it in a place it could pick up if some entity decided to.

I love Terriers!
I will remember.

Holy Crap! HBO's True Detective with Matthew Matthew McConaughey & Woody Harrelson was pretty damn good. Way better than that crap The Killing. They got the idea right. If you're going to spend an entire season on one case, then the show can't be primarily about the case. It has to be about the investigators. Hell, we see tv shows every hour of the day that have a stupid murder case. This is about men who have no other identity than to finish this life consuming case. THAT'S compelling.

Apparently, it'll be another cast of characters if this returns

Cosmos on Fox, with Neil DeGrasse Tyson is pretty cool. One of it's producer/directors is Brannon Braga formerly of Star Trek, & I just noticed Alexander Siddig has made a voice appearance in one episode

Edit: Ooo! Patrick Stewart voice over in another!

I got my kids a one year subscription to Netflix for Christmas and someone recommended 24. I spent all of tax season watching that series. It was great and it's return for a short run in May. Yay!

I also watch the Walking Dead. Other than that, no TV for me this year.
