interesting episode. Wasn't expecting the turn with Cody and Astor but I'm already tired of Astor's attitude. An entire season of it would have been exhausting. Creepy new potential victim for Dexter. And Deborah is seriously nuts. I don't know why any man would put up with her

The one thing I did expect was the Cody & Astor thing. In fact, that's exactly how I saw it playing out. What I didn't expect was his profound reaction to it. It seems that without someone to care about, he has no reason to care about anything, & that includes the dark passenger  Standing there staring at a swamp full of dead women, & he's not really motivated to act..................... yet & WTF is Angel Battista pissing & moaning about? I just wonder how they can pass a character off as being stupid enough to not notice the reality in which they exist. Dexter's wife was just murdered. Deb was nearly killed by the Ice Truck killer, not to mention, most of her lovers end up dead or mutilated. Doakes ended up dead. That entire precinct has been nothing but a relentless shit heap of bad fortune, & he's a happy newlywed. WTF is his problem? I wonder if he even noticed that the only guy drinking with him was Masuka. Musuka busts my gut laughing, but in reality, he's the loneliest one of them all. Angel's becoming an asshole Oh, btw, Dexter is a goddamn murderer magnet. He found that guy from 2 drops of blood in a moving van :jedimags: |

lol I know. that was kinda unrealistic. I wish there was some way he could just turn this guy in without looking crazy himself. And maybe angel and masuka were just the last two standing. wonder what that guy said to angel in the bar that made him lose it? and where is she getting that 2 grand a month? |

From the sound of it, she probably earns it & puts every penny of it away I don't speak Spanish, but I assume that guy was just talking a lot of dirty shit about her, like she's a slut or something, which earned him an ass whoopin from her husband, imo, but it's not going to look all that great for Angel I just want to know what Quinn plans on doing. He's seems to have this Kyle Butler thing pretty well figured out, but what will be his move? because Dex is on edge man. Looking ready to gut a guy in his living room, just for being an annoying douche

lol they already know where dexter was at the time of the murder. Being at work on a crime scene is a pretty good alibi. Though he did leave didn't he? to catch up with trinity. |

Yes, he left & went to the detailing shop that Trinity left his Mustang at, so he could sabotage it, & hide in there, & pounce when the engine failed But I imagine if the Feds are letting Dex off the hook, then the time of death was pin pointed as being when Dex was at the Mitchel home This is why I still sort of feel like Rita's murderer was Trinity. Where else would Trinity be, after having broken into Deb's apartment (Formerly Dex's) the previous night & prior to picking up his Mustang, the day she was killed? He already sacked his family's home for valuables, before going to Deb's place Trinity has no where else to be, but at Dex's house waiting for him, when Rita came back. Which explains his rather chipper mood as he picks up his Mustang, knowing he got back at Dex for stealing his money The time it took Dex to drive to Arthur Mitchel's home & question his family, before the cops came & the time he spent there after the raid is just enough time for Trinity to spend some quality time with Rita, before they both end up at the auto detailer Dex will not be a suspect again, unless he can be fingered as Kyle Butler, & thereby linked to Trinity which means he could be considered complicit with Rita's murder, perhaps even considered as the coordinator of it, getting Trinity to kill his wife, & either disappear, or they might even be able to discover that Dex murdered him Any way you slice it, things could get mighty sticky if this Kyle Butler thing blows up |

he's in trouble now. If new boyfriend shows Trinity's family dexter's pic and he has to decide what to do with new chick. Either way, he's in trouble. Thank god the other guy didn't get a tox screen. |

I'm thinking that from the next episode teaser I saw, that Quinn will show Trinity's son the Dex pic, & that's got me thinking maybe Trinity's son will cover for Dex, because he might realize that he had something to do with ridding them of their horrible father. Just a theory, based on the fact that one of the 3 artist sketches had Kyle Butler being bald. He had dinner with them. they know he's not bald. That plot is still interesting Frankly, I'm not sure I'm digging this eye witness direction they're going. Anyone with half a brain would just get the girl cleaned up, & explain it to her "So yeah... uhh... I found out that Boyd was a babe murder, & got all vigilante on his ass, like you saw there. So now he's like dead, & good thing too, because he was seriously going to kill you, stuff you in a barrel & dump you in a swamp, & no one else was wise to it So, you're still alive, luckily, & Boyd... not so much. So, there's really no reason to go to the police, because I already killed your attempted murderer, & if they found out about my little vigilante excursion, they'd probably..... put me in prison. Throw me a bone ey? & do your liberator a solid? |

Oh, & I couldn't be any sicker of Battista's story, at this point & the Latin religious murder investigation isn't very compelling either. It's only episode 3 & it feels like we might be spreading things a bit thin, already. I mean there's like 4 different independent stories going, right now. Five, if you count the Cody & Astor family life/nanny thing that still gets brought up but it's still early, & I'm still enjoying it |

I can't read this thread since I watch Dexter by NetFlix & I did not see last season yet. I am pissed that I heard thru the grapevine his wife died in the finale. I have no idea how or why. I am trying to keep it like that. What of her poor kids? Dexter is still a dad right? Don't answer. I'm not reading this thread....

yeah the baptista story is getting old. And deb in another crappy relationship where she treats the guy like shit isn't so appealing either. Misoko in a bar fight is pretty funny though. |

Well, that was weird. What did Dex's new friend mean "There were others"? She's been abducted & abused before?  Edit: I just figured it out. At one point, she asked Dex "Are you going to sell me?" Did Boyd get her from some kind of fucked up slave trading market? Boy, Dex could have just struck a vigilante executioner's gold mine, if there's a whole syndicate of assholes to track down

I thought maybe there were more people involved with Boyd. If she had been sold why would her stuff be at a hotel? this show has become way too domestic. During that whole conversation with the chick I'm thinking ah oh. It's dark out and Debra's with Quinn, He has to get home or the babysitter will be pissed. lol |

ugh. The baptista and deb story lines are annoying the hell out of me. That whole thing with the sting was just stupid. Like she wouldn't just tell him about it.  I cam up with the theory last night that deb is gay.  I like the whole Lumen thing though. this is the first person to know about dexter's dark passenger and not be horrified. oh and all babies scratch, cut his nails

Dexter needs to get his shit together. He's gone all kinds of sloppy. I mean there's been times when he was off his game in the past seasons, Trinity being his biggest faux pas, but this season it's like every episode he's gone all pudding brained. Even Imaginary Harry is having to yell at him Quinn's gonna make such a mess of things with this bad cop guy, that I actually miss Doakes. You remember how Doakes was like a cop who actually had scruples? Gee I miss that. Was there ever any point at which we were suppose to think Quinn wasn't a low life? Way to pick 'em Deb. Batista = stupid. Laquerda = boring, & Lumen? Seemingly another big mistake Dexter will have to clean up. Way too much going on. They need to begin paring this down now. The next episode is the half way point, & all these oddities are going to begin developing, & what? Dex will be side tracked with his finger scratching kid? Sloppy sloppy |
