Well, I don't watch it live, I have to surf around the web, sometimes after work. I might sometimes be as much as a day late  But I am excited. This season looks to be rather uncomfortable for Dex |

Where was that link suppose to go?  Anyway, it's a bit harder finding it online this season, but I saw it, & Whoa! I think the reason this is my favorite show is that more than any other show I've ever seen, I just never know where the hell they are going with it So many things that just throw you for a loop, like Deb & Quinn doing it at the murder scene, that you are never ready for the eventual direction, because your head is spinning We are definitely walking a fine line here. Where was Dex during that actual murder? I might have to rewatch. Was he at Laqueda & Battista's wedding, like she said? & who were Cody & Astor with, Rita's parents? I thought Rita's mom was played by JoBeth Williams

I think they were Rita's parents too. I think she was being killed when he was killing the trinity killer. But then I think it was the neighbour who did it. Loved the way he realized he loved her. and I totally saw the thing with deb and her partner coming. |

Yeah, but not like.... that! 
Just rewatched the finale, & yeah, I guess they were Rita's parents, but they must have covertly recast the mom part, because it use to be JoBeth Williams, & she totally hated Dex Now as for Rita's time of death & killer. The neighbor is a plausible theory, but we do know that the night before, Trinity, Arthur Mitchel, was on a tear in search of Dexter, who had earlier abducted him & swiped his getaway money, before being dragged away by town sheriffs for sideswiping a car . Rita bails Dex out. When they return to Dex's car, Trinity is gone from the van he was left in, presumably off to his family's home, where he clears out all of their valuables & takes off. Later that night, at his secret apartment, he internet searches Dex's old apartment, which is now sublet to Debra. He likely found out Dex's address from there The last time we see Rita alive, is the next day, when she's being put in a taxi bound for the airport. Some time prior to boarding her flight, she realizes she forgot her travel ID, & returns home Meanwhile, Dexter goes to see Arthur Mitchel's family for clues to Trinity's whereabouts. Almost immediately, Miami Metro storms the place, & Dex hides in Trinity's coffin. while there, Dex searches through the things he swiped from Arthur, & finds a receipt from an auto detailer, where Arthur took his Mustang Obviously Dex stakes out the auto detailer, & sneaks in & sabotages the engine, which causes the breakdown that Dex uses to catch Arthur. It even looked like Dex was in the car, the whole time If Trinity is the killer, then Rita was killed, sometime between when Dex is at The Mitchel home and when he is staking out the auto detailer. If they place the time of death when the raid at the Mitchel home took place, Dex has a rock solid alibi, with all of Miami Metro to back it up I just can't see how the neighbor would have been able to catch Rita in that narrow margin of timing where she came home from the airport, whereas Trinity would likely have been waiting in the house for Dex, when she came home Which is why he has a big shit eating grin on his face, as he drives off in his Mustang, instead of being pissed that Dex got away with his money, & it explains his horror when Dex catches up with him on the roadside, as he figures Dex caught up with him after the murder, & I think that during Trinity's murder scene, he starts to realize that Dex hasn't found out yet, & toys with him a bit, calling him a child, & he finishes his statements by saying "It's already over", seemingly in reference what he calls Dex's heavenly dream world The only thing I don't get is why Debra was saying Trinity leaves no traces. Wasn't Masuka the one who figured out the ash left behind? Though the ash is gone by the time Rita is murdered, but you'd think Trinity would still leave a calling card or something. At the very least, Dex could be in the clear if she was murdered while he was on the scene at Trinity family home wow, long post

if he was going to kill rita I don't think he would have done it like that. He would have just killed her. His ritual is sacred to him. He wouldn't have deviated. the neighbour is the best one to catch rita in the few minutes she was home because he is the neighbour. for me the key is the baby. If it had been hours the baby would have crawled all over the house and tracked blood everywhere. |

I think it was smart to have him kill someone right off the bat. They can milk that for a bit, while they clear up all this other shit
