a few years ago i skimmed an article in
vanity fair magazine about these 3 boys
who made their own raiders of the lost ark
home movie on a nothing budget.
i mentioned it to my brother & he found this
story on ain't it cool news. very cool IMHO.
(story is 4 years old)

bumping because my brother found it on-line
(better to not ask where  ) it was taken
from a bad VHS copy, but not a bad effort.

the indiana jones wiki has a section for it detailing
what they went through to do it.
they call it raiders of the lost ark: the adaptation.
the guys who did it sold the film rights to their story
& it's going to be a film from paramount. i'd like to see
that. hope they don't mess it up.

No, just no, and more to the point why ?? What was missing from the original Raiders, that they think they can address with this one ?? It's listed as the best fan franchise, yes because it has great storylines and a great cast list, something the fans can really get behind. And it has a great central character in Indiana Jones, who will be missing from the remake. Without doubt, Indy was the driving force of each movie, but without him the new film will be a poor imitation of the original. So I ask again, why ??
