I don't get it :lus:

I mean I get the part about the alt-universe was an afterlife experience, but not the "Island events were real" part

Somehow, I feel like the whole series was an afterlife experience, & the alt-universe was just a slant to it, that needed to come into existence, because the characters were pushing that idea in their minds. All the events came about because they manifested them as part of their reality, during the test/waiting period, or as an avenue in their experience

i.e. "Jacob's Ladder", for those of you who know it. those of you who don't, it's definitely worth checking out, though incredible creepy

I can't say 100% though. I'll need to reflect more, & maybe watch a bunch of it again, but so many otherwise inexplicable events, over the series, seem to gel with the entire thing being an after life experience

& well.... shit, people have been suggesting that theory, ever since Locke first wiggled his toes

I will say though, that even if it is as simple as that, it was still wonderfully entertaining. I definitely enjoyed it. The whole of it was great, imo

Live long and prosper.....!!

Oh, I dunno. People have been discussing Star Trek since the 60s/70s, so I think Lost has some life in it yet. :)
R.I.P. Gummy, we'll miss you bro

wow. So much going on there. Not sure where the plane is flying to exactly. If they are already "back" how areheir going to be two of them? And why not Alexa and her mother? Have we ever seen Kate and Jack kiss before? I don't think we have.

I cried every time someone remembered. I thought it was a great way to remind the audience of so much as well. I also laughed a whole lot more than any other episode I can remember.

I was really digging the whole they would all be together and continue on part till the bit with christian. And why the hell was Kate the first person to point out the Christian Shepard thing?

and I loved Ben finally being a part of taking care of the Island. It was all he had ever wanted. Did you see the look on his face when Jack told Hurley he was always the one? :(

Just as good as the scene where he asks Ben to be his aid. It's like maybe the best moment in Ben's entire life. You could just see it on his face, that it was like the first time he'd ever felt wanted or needed

In the end, I think the actors on this show really sold the story, a lot more than the writers did. I figure that & the score is why I've enjoyed this show so much

Hurley gives Charlie a jar of fricking peanut butter, & the music swells, & you get bloody choked up... over a jar of peanut butter. That's how I'll remember this show

OK...I feel better....Because, if Mojo came on this board and said they knew exactly what went down...I was gonna have to say...phooey! :p

I have no idea what the hell happened.....All I know is I don't care...I loved it.....I loved the way most were reunited at the end.....I have no idea in what situation anyone died......I have no clue.....

All I know is Kate looked great in a little black dress & I always loved the idea of Kate & Jack together....which is how it looked like it ended..... :js:

I guess for some reason echo could not be part of the show. To bad. He was one of the great characters on Lost.

So, Ana Lucia & Ben are dead but could not move on yet. I was taking it as they were not dead. I guess the other theory sounds right though. That does make sense.

I do like Mojo's idea of the alternate univers being there what if life....or, maybe ruminating on what life would have been, could have been.......But, that is still sort of wierd...because, where would Kate have met Jack in real life...since they wound up married in the alternate.

I have no idea....But, I loved wathing that great looking cast of characters with characters of depth on that beautiful location all these years.

Yep..I am really gonna miss that!
And....the kids!

It's Christmas!

Man! What a bit of teary eye ending! Now I know who pulled Desmond out of the well, but darn, Locke found him again! :/ Jack finally got rid of Locke over the cliff! What a fight they had! I am just glad they finally all got together again and found their peace.

Me and a friend were discussing Ben on Facebook and wondered why exactly he won't enter the Church. Now I was just back reading here and could be possible that Ben won't move on or have not found his peace, who knows. :idon'tknow: I like it when he told Locke, "You won't be needing that wheelchair anymore."

I saw some of them in Jimmy Kimmel Show after the Lost show. Their interviews were interesting of their experiences working on the show. Had a good laugh at Naveen Andrews/Sayid kissed Michael Emerson/Ben on the head when they were mentioning about Emerson's character, Ben being beaten up often on the show. Too bad that Josh Holloway could not be there but they did show him currently being in Canada doing another movie.

I am still working on the illustration. Four more characters to go. I have done Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Ben and Sayid... Now to Hurley, Jin, Sun and Kate. So I am trying to get it done. :) I am sooooo amaze how Locke, Sawyer and Sayid came out, hehe, ain't showing you yet!

I am going to miss them all! :( They all did a good job doing the characters.

 Exactly as I would put it..... Must have been a momentum for Ben when Hurley ask him to help him.

Any Ideas on why the Island was magical? and what the Egyptians had to do with it?

Ya...That was precious. It is ALL Ben ever worked toward on that Island. He thought he was going to be Jacobs #2.........The look on Ben's face was perfection. That is what makes this show great the acting!

I agree. The show had a few 'jump the shark' moments for me this past season. Things that were to readily tied up. I am not into Sci-fy as a rule. This show captured me with the beautiful cast of characters on that beautiful Island I had the pleasure of spending sometime on. They sucked me into the Sci-fy thing before I knew what hit me!

I am glad we did fing out where the smoke monster came from.

Can you believe I never watched the show but after reading all the things you all wished answered, I kept going back and forth with Lost and Celebrity Apprentice so I might find out if some of your wishes came true!

I think it was the centre of all good and evil in the world and if the island had been destroyed evil would have been unchecked and destroyed the world.

though it does bother me that there is now no personification of evil

so when hurly told ben he made a great number two does that mean they remembered stuff after jack died? Like a few hundred years more or so?

and anyone else notice the show started with jack opening his eyes and ended with him closing them?

Yea..It is really crazy since young NotLocke was really not evil at all. He knew that woman was not his Mother, murdered his real Mother...And, the only thing ever wanted to do was get off that Island and find his real way home.

To me he never started out with evil intent.

To me Jacob was duped from the get-go......but, fell in line. How is that good. It's not bad...but, it's like Flocke was made out to be bad from the get-go when he really was not. He was jusy fighting like hell to get the frig off that Island and clobbered anyone he felt was in his way.........Though that does not explain ripping that dead pilot out of the plane....in front of Jack & Kate scaring the shit out of them.

Maybe the Smoke Monster just became more corrupt & filled with vengeance as he felt life dealt him a raw deal.

Then that makes Jacob naive. Jacob helped his brother become evil. That is why I love the show. It really explored the shades of grey. In the end it reveals life is never so simple and shades of grey are we delve everyday.
And....the kids!

Im thinking Hurely..and maybe ben lived at least a thousand years....

the Alternate universe is like Purgatory... a waiting place between reality and the afterlife.

Each one of them remembers there entire lives and deaths....
