I'm sure everyone expected it to end. It's a mystery show, unlike something like Heroes, which is just a... show. I just think they got pushed, after season 2 & 3 didn't deliver the same ratings boom that season one did, which would be almost impossible really Sure, the show has seemed more directed in the past couple seasons. They didn't have a choice. However, it's also been more rushed, & has left things by the wayside. I don't think that would have been the case, had they had another season or maybe 2 to work with. Full seasons, not this 14, 15, 16 episode seasons I've been watching the earlier seasons, & even though I still get moved from time to time with the new stuff, those earlier seasons had way more emotional potency, imo. I just finished rewatching "Everybody Hates Hugo" Which ought to make for a cool tie in with the upcoming episode That episode was so touching, on multiple levels. They didn't even have to end all the episodes with a cliffhanger, in those days. That one ended with Bernard finding out Rose was still alive, & Sun burying the message bottle, thinking Jin might be dead, plus the whole episode being about Libby helping Hurley free himself of all his guilt. It's that kind of patient development which made Hurley my favorite character, & made Libby's death so potent Can you honestly say that Juliet's death had that kind of impact? Hell, a few weeks after, & even Sawyer seems unconcerned, after a three year relationship. The oldest character on the show, with the most history, gets one flashback episode, & Widmore hasn't gotten anything solely about him at all yet. It seems like the characters which have the most involvement with our overall story, are the ones with the least development, because they were cut short by a deadline I'm still loving how it's playing out, mind you, but it just seems like we were rushed into this, when one of two things could have prevented that 1. Give them the time they would have needed to develop it properly 2. Sign them to 6 seasons from the start, & then they'd be less inclined to waste time on episodes about Jack's tattoos

3. Give them the ideas they're having now, before shooting season 2, and they'd have 5-6 seasons to develop them properly. |

See though, I believe that they always had this premise formed. One doesn't just come up with an idea for a plane crash castaway show, & then six years later, they are inexplicably making a show about alternate dimensions & paranormal activity No, they always knew what they were going to do, the difference is, that having no deadline, in the beginning, made them need to stretch the premise out, & the result was 3 seasons of patient development, & a certain amount of airtime filler, & then three seasons of jamming everything else in, & cutting loose anything they'd developed that couldn't be covered before the deadline This is just the way it seems to me though

Now I think Juliet traveled to the alternate dimension just before she died, just like Desmond, thus how she'd known that "It worked" |

Speaking of catching stuff, you all saw Minkowski was the limo driver right? The dimensional shifter who died on the freighter That can't be a coincidence. In fact, all of the people who gave Des insight on this alternate dimension thing had died in the prime dimension. Charlie, Daniel Farraday, & I suspect Minkowski has some knowledge too |

Des seems to attract all the same weirdos to his life I'm still a bit pissed that his Swan station buddy never reappeared. I find it hard to believe a bump on the head killed him, especially since that scene took place at the Cove which is the same spot that the Tailes go to, just before Ana-Lucia shoots Shannon, & there is no corpse there. LOST is notorious for showing corpses that have a back story, like Goodwin, & Roger Linus were shown before we knew who they were. You'd think that showing Kelvin's corpse, prior to showing how it got there, would've been something they'd do, especially since it all took place during season two That had me convinced he wasn't dead. The only other possibility is that Desmond managed to find time to return to the cove, & retrieve Kelvin's body, prior to the 108 minutes expiring, or during the very short period of time, once he'd abandoned the station, he buried the body, just before launching his repaired boat, before the Tailies got to the Cove |

Mojo and I have the same taste in shows. I loved Deadwood. I had to tape it...and, watch it again with the closed caption to catch a lot of the lines. They were supposed to come back with a twohour finale and never did. I was just talking about that the other day to TW. That was a friggen great show. Right now I am on Season 3 of Dexter with NetFlix. Where are you catching Season 4 on-line? I really don't want to wait a year or more for the DVD's to come out. I am a major fan of 'Lost' the early years. We had a main set of characters.....we stayed on that beautiful Island......and, things seemed simple. The smoke monster gave me a mad thrill. Still does I guess but the mystery is gone....sort of.... Other than that I have no idea how this show is gonna end. Wissa's right. Vince (the dog) will be the ultimate survivor. Totally unaffected by all the drama all these years. He will be the last one standing....

Nothing on tv has ever pissed me off more than that. The whole show was on a huge build up to a showdown between Hearst, & Swearengen, with the whole town at stake, and then... nothing. One of the biggest let downs in tv history, imo. That show positively captivated me, even during the duller stuff
http://www.yidio.com/show/dexter Most of the links redirect you to Megavideo. Problem is, sometimes the quality is iffy. Dexter is the only tv I'll have left. Heroes has really gone to hell & back & then back for seconds |

The last few episodes better start being extended episodes. As if Artie wasn't enough of a surprise the first time. Good to see Libby again. They tried to explain the whispers mystery, but I think they are going to leave it wide open as to why living people appeared in the past. Juliet acted as if she knew what the whispers were a long time ago and wasn't surprised when someone appeared with Ben's message. I got the impression that meant the person was alive, but if Ben was just using it as a dead person messaging service, why not use it for more recon work. |

The whispers could explain Jack's dad though. I think it makes some sense. Though I agree it could have been fleshed out better. Hell, lots of things could've been. Maybe we'll understand better, in the last few episodes, or upon rewatching the whole series. Somehow I think rewatching will be necessary to fill in the blanks with the proper perspective Seems like Desmond is trying to make everyone realize their alt-reality. He'll have to touch Claire, Kate, Sayid, Jack & the Kwons. It's a shame he couldn't have touched Locke a bit more gently I think Ilana was just the beginning. Things are about to get thick with brutality. A few things I found intriguing were 1. Ben's comment about the island being done with Ilana. I think that was her character's whole point. This concept is at the very heart of what the island is 2. Desmond & NotLocke's conversation about fear, at the well. It's one of those things that shows a bit of insight into MIB's character 3. The latest appearance of what might be a young Jacob haunting MIB. The more they show this kid, the more I think of Aaron, & the more I think they could all be the same person |

interesting. I'm thinking that whatever widmore wanted desmond to do could actually fix the island and trap the smoke. That is why notlocke threw him down the well. It would be interesting if Hurley talked to some dead people who were trapped on the island that he didn't know. |
