oooh.

I missed the first half hour. Apparantly stuff happened in it.

do we actually know that they are now in two time lines?

and the rest of them weren't exactly far away by nuclear bomb standards. Why are they still there?

First half hour for those who missed it.

They all left the 1980s when the bomb went off. Sawyer was pissed that they ended up back where they were before. No one seems to know about their doppleganging self with the exception of dead Juliet saying that it worked. The effect of the bomb was apparently enough to sink the island in one reality allowing Desmond to have managed to be on the flight from Australia.

Yes, all of the displaced time travelers were moved back to their proper time, upon detonation, thus only suffering from injuries they had beforehand, which is why Juliet died, from injuries sustained in her fall. I'm thinking that Rose & Bernard might have been brought back too

Further, Juliet's posthumous claim that "It worked" leads me to believe that we are now dealing with more than one reality, also supported by the actual name of the episode "LA X". Note the space, being suggestive of a double entendre, like LA "X", meaning an X factor LA

Scuttlebutt about alternate dimensions has been thrown around ever since Young Ben got shot by Sayid, & was likely saved in the exact same way as Sayid himself, ironically. This leads me to believe they are not the same Ben & Sayid as before, but alternate ones... maybe

But I think my favorite part was that we don't actually find out what was written on the paper in Hurley's guitar case. The translator merely states that the paper says if they don't save Sayid, they'll be in big trouble, but I'm almost certain that, much like all of Jacob's notes, the paper contains a list of names, that of our main characters, which is why they asked their names, & which would explain why Sawyer, & Miles were abducted, & brought there

I agree with you on the list of names. The translator's statement indicates that having a name on the list is more than just permission to come in. They've always been will to abduct people who were on the list, but now we know that they are required for some master plan.

It wasn't as all fired up as the premier, but I think it's a leading episode. They've been doing that in every season

BTW, The trap that Kate nearly triggered, & used to take out Aldo & his buddy? Might not be Rouseau's. I'm thinking Claire set that trap

Yes. Prior to the Losties getting off the island, she was killed with Alex & Carl, by Keamy's team, from the freighter, & now it's 3 years later. Now, the trap could be one of her leftover ones, but I'm doubting that

Something's been bothering me about the very first scene of this season, which is the scene on the alternate 815. It started out with Jack's weird behavior, & then I noticed it. He doesn't have a brush cut. when the plane crashes originally, Jack has a brush cut, but not on the season six 815. He has a combed haircut.

I can't accept that this is an oversight, or insignificant, especially considering that Jack spends a great deal of the flight looking at the people who we know he knew. I think somehow Jack in the "Flash-Sideways" knows what's happened, in some way

I can't be certain about the rest of them, but Jack is aware. That is significant, and because it is 2004, it might be related to what we are now seeing transpire on the island in 2007

Although, Charlie's hair seems different too, shorter or something

It may be something like that. She certainly may have gone a bit haywire, & the Japanese guy seemed to suggest she had been "Claimed" the way that Sayid will be

well that was a pretty interesting show. Did we actually get some answers? :mojo: Lots of things covered but I need to think about it a little more.

One thing that surprised me though, Locke had a lot to go back to. Why was he so content to stay on the island?

One thing that really stood out for me is that some of these people who had nothing to go back to when they crashed on the island really did have something or at least came to some sort of resolution of their problems shortly after landing.

Locke is obviously in a really good relationship and finally came to terms with being in a wheelchair. He was forced out of the job that he hated anyway and is now doing something I think he could really enjoy.

Same with Claire. Within hours of landing she had decided to keep Aaron. Though it is pretty freaky that she was still going to name him Aaron.

And Rose seemed at peace with her terminal cancer. Hugo was acting like a grownup instead of a big 13 year old.

But really, wtf was Ben doing there? I guess the atom bomb going off changed the history for all the Dahrma initiative too.

And we got a few answers to the island mysteries. All those people are being brought here to take Jacob's place. And he I assume is the force for good in the balance of good and evil. The smoke monster is now stuck in the form of locke. Or at least that is the only human form he can take. How cool was it when we saw the smoke monster from his perspective? what is the deal with the little kid though? and why could Sawyer see him but not Richard?
