Water Tribe! Posts: 18,370 Group: Admin Member #1,331 Joined: October 14, 2007	I think the "what lies in the shadow" guys are a new group... but most likely some form of split off from the Others. I wonder if the "what lies" people from the plane.. also knew to get on that particular plane, to get to the island.

They obviously don't have a connection with Widmore or Ben, but they seem to have been able to get intelligence that the Dharma Initiative pioneered. Since Myles mom didn't have any trouble getting off the island before the purge, we know that Dharma could have survived. And Dharma has already shown some Egyptian connections which might serve as an ancient link to the island.

This new group could actually be responsible for the extra plane and bodies. That would explain why both Widmore and Ben deny it and we haven't seen enough to prove either way.

Please refresh my memory! I said some, but I guess it was just one thing. The Dharma girl that Sawyer saved pulled an Egyptian symbol amulet off of her husband. It came up later when it tipped Horace off that his wife still had mementos of her first husband.
