Not sure why he wants to blow up the boat unless they expected that the ship's crew would mutiny against them or that Ben would want the boat. Another possibility is a personal explosive device expecting that Ben would try to kill him up close. I'm not convinced they want to kill everyone on the island with a gas or guns. I think moving the island probably just has that effect if people aren't protected. Related to the first incident on the island before the Dharma initiative lost the island? Widamore would know that is what Ben would try to do if Ben was desperate which is why they waited for Ben rather than just using it. Okay, I was starting to see how the Oceanic 6 ended up being the only ones, but now we have them on the boat, the Orchid, and with the others.

He is planning on no one getting out alive. weren't they getting off the dingy in that clip they showed at the press converence? why did the natives on the island they washed up on have a cell phone to film the landing on? they looked pretty primative

More than anyone, that island belongs to them. I think that many of them likely pre-date Dharma Like Richard Alpert maybe the others... will take kate and sayid to the orcid and help ben and locke "move" the island

The arm device might be a locater, in case the island gets moved, or protection of some kind Violet May 18 2008, 06:09 PM maybe the others... will take kate and sayid to the orcid and help ben and locke "move" the island Well Kate & Sayid will undoubtedly end up in the same place as Hurly & Jack. Jack & Sawyer are headed to the Orchid too, to get/save Hurly So far, the only one who leaves the island (that we know about) who isn't on their way to the Orchid, is Sun (& Aaron) I guess they meet up with her along the way Plus, Ben is getting off the island in a totally different way :panic:
