The last known location of the remainder of the Others is they were heading to the "Temple" (Whatever that is) with Richard Alpert, when Ben & Alex separated from them, in order to intercept Jack & the Losties at the radio tower That was the end of season two. We haven't heard from them since. I can only assume they are at the Temple by now. |

According the Ben, the Others decided they didn't want him anymore - not that you can trust him. But why Locke isn't interested is beyond me. |

The writer's don't know what the entity is either!!? I wish I had a good theory that I could write for that contest. I wonder if they will accept a flashback episode with the monster as the character... |

Assuming that Jacob is the leader or most important of the hostiles, maybe the monster could've been created by him, with him at the controls of a mechanism of some kind, with some kind of advanced cloaking device that appears to be smoke

Ok I've got more troubles  I just realized that almost every recurring character that has appeared on the show, has showed up in some kind of flashback, in some capacity, EXCEPT Rouseau, Alex & Karl We know literally nothing about these characters except what has been spoken about them or from them, & very often, what is said is not the whole story, or possibly even total lies, in some cases The translation in Rouseau's 16 year old recording is not entirely compatible with her claims. Both her & Ben claim that she killed her team, but the recording clearly states "It killed them" That makes me wonder if this "Sickness" they supposedly got, that she was talking about might be a psychological sickness. Perhaps something like the effects that Eko exhibited, when seeing the visions of his brother, & Jack his father, which we might assume is the doing of the monster. Maybe she killed some of them, after seeing the others go nuts chasing around halucinations till they were dead She claims in her early appearances, that she has never seen the others, & only knows them as the whisperers, yet they abducted her newborn baby She's claimed to have survived this long by avoiding situations which would attract attention from other island inhabitants, but then she has traps set all over the island, & interrogates Sayid, when he gets caught in one Also if she's been on the island since 1988, then that is when Ben abducted Alex. which I find to be a very difficult accomplishment while still living on a Dharma occupied island, though I guess it's not impossible, if it was the hostiles which helped him to do it. Mikhail claimed that the purge took place in 1993, though it's hard to believe anything that guy says, but that year is compatible with the fact that Kelvin Inman claims to have joined up with Dharma, which would had to have been after 1991 I guess I just have to wonder if Danielle had crashed on the island during the Dharma reign, & if so how none of them would know about it for the many weeks her team was there & dying, & how she'd never come across any of them in her search, when she literally made it over vast areas of the island during that time. Unlike what she had originally said, the radio tower is nowhere near the Black Rock I really am struggling to come up with a suitable explanation as to what happened in her past, & some kind of flashback is looooong overdue We need some very bloody old flashbacks to clear up all of this, & the only people around who qualify for something like that are Rouseau & Ben.... Oh yeah.... & Richard Alpert, who is virtually the only pre-Dharma island inhabitant we have confirmed, besides perhaps Jacob :panic: Ok, I'm done Somehow, I suspect that this week's episode will clear up none of that
