John Bradford, a Dublin University student, was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door. Only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on!! The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the wheel. John, paralyzed with terror, watched as the hand repeatedly came through the window, but never touched or harmed him. Shortly thereafter John saw the lights of a pub appear down the road, so, gathering strength, he jumped out of the car and ran to it. Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he had just had. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he was crying and....wasn't drunk. Suddenly, the door opened, and two other people walked in from the stormy night. They, like John, were also soaked and out of breath. Looking around, and seeing John Bradford sobbing at the bar, one said to the other..."Look Paddy.....there's that stupid idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it!!!! |

Kermit the Frog goes into a bank back in the early 1970's to get a loan for the theater so he can put together The Muppet Show. He goes to the Loan Officer, Patricia Whack, and applies for the loan. Ms. Whack reviews the application, but notes one problem. "Mr. Frog," she begins, "while you have good credit, your credit history is still a bit less than what we would like to see. You don't own any property, movable or otherwise, and the bank won't loan you any money unless you have something to put up as collateral." Kermit digs into his pocket and produces a miniature banjo. Gingerly, he places the instrument on Ms. Whack's desk. She looks at him questioningly, so he explains, "It was my first musical instrument, custom-made so I could start learning to play when I was still a tadpole. I don't know if there are any others, so, it has intrinsic value beyond the sentimental value." Whack looked at the instrument, and the frog seemed respectable enough. "I don't know," she said finally. "I'll have to ask my manager." She gets up and goes to the next office over. She explains the situation to her manager, who then accompanies her back to her office. He examines the miniature banjo, then places it back on the desk. Making a decision, he says, "It's a knick-knack, Patty Whack, give the frog a loan." |

I don't know if this is real, I haven't checked snopes.com, but it is funny regardless. ) Judy Wallman, a professional genealogical researcher, discovered that Hillary Clinton's great-great Uncle Remus Rodham,was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows. On the back of the picture is this inscription: 'Remus Rodham; horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889. So Judy e-mailed Hillary Clinton for comments. Hillary's staff of professional image adjusters sent back the following biographical sketch: 'Remus Rodham was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to service at a government facility,finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed.' |

It is a lizard, Mojo. Gecko has shorter tail than lizards, which have longer tails. I googled for a lizard when I was looking for pics of lizard on wheels for my blog. |
