21Jump Street - ok, it was really silly but fun. The relationship between the two leads borders on wierd and they are so inapproprate that it's just ridiculous but no one is watching for accuracy.

Terrorists kidnap the US Vice President at the Stanley Cup final, ex-fireman Jean-Claude Van Damme is out to stop them, while trying to look after his kids. Good ending, when a helicopter falls length-wise backwards through the roof and onto the ice, with the bad guy inside. If you're a Van Damme fan it's worth a look !! ****

Oddly, he landed the role that Alec Baldwin had started in Hunt For Red October, & then after only two films, they replaced him with Ben Affleck in the prequel The Sum Of All Fears. Probably the most disjointed casting in a film series ever. All in all, Red October is probably still my favorite

3 musketeers (1993)

from what i hear about the 2011 one, this version (1993) version is a cinema classic. (not the sarcasm)

not a terrible move, a fairly decent popcorn muncher. everyone over-acts &
tim curry chews on the scenery (and seems to be enjoying it)

my brother pointed out that there was a sequel (to the book, i think) called twenty years after
and next year will be the 20th anniversary of this movie, so a sequel could be interesting.
they'd never put sheen in it though.

Live long and prosper.....!!

I liked the Three Musketeers, a tongue in cheek romp, I loved it !!

They did make a sequel, called the Four Musketeers. Same cast, same anarchic style, and I believe there was a third movie too !!

To be honest I don't remember the year it was released. Hang on, I'll take a look...........!!

Ok I just checked the wiki; three musketeers was in 1973, four musketeers in 1974 and (the one I couldn't remember) return of the musketeers was in 1989, so yeah you were right (of course) !! :)

Interestingly, the Beatles were asked to take the roles in the first movie, but they turned it down. Have to say, am glad they did. The cast that eventually played it did an amazing job imho !!

The new Conan the Barbarian.

Villians lacked depth, Conan was a little dull, but the movie sure had an excessive amount of nudity in it so that made up for the rest!

Randomer than you since 1992

The Seahawke: I really liked it. Errol Flynn was adorkable, which was pleasantly surprising. Most ye olde male leads are pigs, but he was utterly precious. And I loved the monkey.

The Adventures of Robin Hood: It was alright. I know it's the more popular one, but I liked The Seahawk better. He was less dorky and she was too damsel-in-distress-y compared to the other girl. I might've liked it more if I'd seen it first.

Rewatched Captain America. Again. Oh my goodness, Steve is the most adorable dork to ever dork! The look on his face when Peggy shoots at him, and when he's all "how do I know you two haven't been...fonduing!" Oh Steve you're so fail-tastic I need to marry you! :swoon:

The Hurt Locker

Hadn't seen it before. It was somewhat bland, & didn't really have any discernible direction, but the acting was good, & it certainly gave up some realism, though I'm no expert. Can't imagine viewing it again though
