the adams family & adams family values

highly enjoyable, if a bit weird. everyone of the family members was perfectly cast. IMHO.
i wonder if raul julia had lived if they would've done more. :mojo:

About a Mars mission that goes wrong, the cover-up that follows, and the astronauts trying to survive against the secret service out to kill them. Nice ending !!

Makes you wonder about the Apollo 'moonlandings', and whether Apollo 13 was really an accident !!

watched I robot the other night. Still a good movie. We've started watching some of these movies the kids saw when they are younger. Now that they are old enough to follow the plot they are really enjoying them.

went and saw "the lorax' when I was out of town. It was kinda a strange experience. It was at the theatre I worked at when I was in highschool. They obviously havn't spent a dime on the place since it was built. It is exactly the same. Some spots are really showing that.

the movie was allright. Another heavy handed environmental message cartoon though

Christian Bale excels as the senior "cleric", whose job it is to maintain stability in a totalitarian society. But he begins to doubt the official line, and eventually joins the resistence determined to bring down the society. Like a cross between The Matrix and 1984, this has many good action scenes, as well as a lot of thought-provoking ideas, excellent !! *****

Muppets- some guy, his birth defective brother who looks like a Muppet, and the girlfriend try to reunite the Muppets. Not bad, pays homage to the Muppet show and Movie. Seems to disregard the 6 or some really crappy Muppet movies since the first one..

Randomer than you since 1992

John Carter

Quite a good, fun movie. Reminded me of Cowboys and Aliens a bit, but it was better.

The Hunger Games

Really liked it (apart from that blasted shaky-cam!) will be getting the books out of the library as soon as I have a chance.

Shoot to Kill, filmed in BC; Pemberton, my hometown, Squamish, vancouver and the bc ferries. Sidney Porteir, Kirtie Alley and the bad guy from Highlander are in it.

goldeneye;
the first of the brosnan bonds. probably my favorite of the bond movies.

tomorrow never dies (hate that title):
one of the oddest bad guy schemes ever, IMHO. but
the actor attacked the role with glee.

Matt Damon slips easily into the hard-man action role, and creates a trilogy you can watch again and again. Excellent !! *****

the world is not enough or T.W.I.N.E had an interesting twist as to who the bad guy was.
and i think that we can agree that denise richards as a nuclear physicist is one of the biggest, possibly the biggest, miss-casting in the whole bond franchise.

EDIT: i read in the trivia section for this on imdb.com that people thought that dr. jones was the worts bond girl ever. i had no problems with the character, just the actress.

BTW this is the last movie i saw in theators.

not a bad movie the 20th bond film with interesting references to the others. (see imdb.com for details)

Space Camp-it seemed a lot more exciting, and Leah Thompson a lot hotter when I was 11. I also realize now where I've heard the voice of the dolphin on Seaquest before!

Agreed 100% !!

When I saw that Denise Richards was cast as a nuclear physicist, my first thought was - "with her blank expression ?? Get outta here !!" An opinion that didn't change when I saw her cast as a space pilot in Starship Troopers !!
