Tomorrow When the War Began: Gotta say, I'm pretty amazed. It's one of about 3 Australian movies that doesn't suck. Acting was really good, considering that most of the cast have never done anything other than crap like Neighbours or Home and Away (terrible soap operas.) Directing was good; didn't have as many of those moments during action scenes where they move/shake the camera so much you have no idea what's going on and want to kill someone. Script was good, aside from gratuitous overuse of the word 'mate.' Seriously, they say 'mate' more in three days than I would in three months. ![]() Ending was highly irritating (two characters are in a position where they may have been killed or captured but you don't find out whether they were or not) But understandable since they have to follow the book. Also, a little confused by the generic Asian dudes as the invading force. Seems a little politically incorrect? I certainly know people who would be offended. As far as I can remember they weren't Asian in the books, but I don't know for sure because I only read one of them ages ago for an English assignment. ![]() Overall pretty good apart from frustrating ending. Salt: Pretty good. Plot twist was interesting, if a little far fetched. Stunts were ridiculously unrealistic, but what action movie isn't? But again with the horrifically retarded ending! It doesn't even make sense! Also, it tries a bit too hard to keep a sense of mystery about where the plot is going so that the main character's motives aren't very clear, even at the end after 'all is revealed.' Enjoyable if you don't let yourself think too much. |

Zack & Miri Make A Porno I'm not sure I can put my finger on it, but there's something about Kevin Smith's comedies that I find very wooden & contrived. I thought it was ok. It had some funny moments, but much like many of his films, the viewer is disconnected from the story & characters, because the script gets in the way, or something, which spells a bit of doom for this film, because we are already suspending disbelief in the notion that Elizabeth Banks is a feasible romantic match for Seth Rogan. I actually found the farcical gay relationship between Brandon Routh & Justin Long more believable |

My Super Ex-Girlfriend it was fun. Not a lot of substance naturally but actors you enjoyed watching who managed to do well is silly roles. well, Uma not so much. but the rest of them Brooklyn's finest Incredible perfomances by everyone it it. Ethan Hawke especially. He is almost unrecognizable in his character. plot is complicated but good. Surprised we havnen't heard more about this film. |

![]() Third and final part of this excellent trilogy (which I'll certainly consider buying), and once more Matt Damon proves he can hack it with the action hero's. In this one, all questions are answered. ***** |

The other day I borrowed both DVDs of the old and new Clash of the Titans. My ex told me both are different from each other and I was like... that they are a bit different in the story. I think the new Clash of the Titans have more special effects than the old but they both have the story differently. I noticed in the old movie did not include the god of underworld, Hades, the new movie they used the god Hades. The other weird thing, the old movie had the mechanical owl all the way to the end of the movie, halfway in the new movie they threw the same kind of owl away. And the pegasus is black instead of white like in the old movie.

Yeah, he got some bad press in Team America, but I saw him in Ocean's 11 first, and was impressed by his acting, which totally negated what the puppet movie was doing to him. (loved the way they impersonated Kim Jong-Il though !!)

Machete Lots of cheep gore... very little dialog by the may character Machete It started out as a Grind-house commercial.. and the made a movie out of it. Not something I would normally watch or enjoy.. but but strangely I enjoyed the movie. what I didnt enjoy.. was the 18-23yr olds sitting next to me getting boners and making disgusting moaning noises during all the nude scenes... I was about seconds from pouring my water bottle all over them...when My Fiance made me sit on his other side. |

Requiem for a Dream (2000) Drugs can really fuck you up. This is a great movie but it's sad and I was sorry to watch it. Mainly because of the deterioration of characters. |

I had never seen a Lethal Weapon movie before. So I got all four and spent the last two weeks watching them. They're really good Like the action, storytelling and humour combined. The subplots seem to flow through each movie, while the new adventures are different each time, well done. The second one was my favorite. |

Descent. Watched this on spock's recommendation, as he thought I'd like it. He was right, I did, very much so. If you don't know the movie, a bunch of women go caving one weekend, and get trapped underground by "troglodyte's" (best way to describe them), people who live underground and eat anything or anybody they can catch. The ending was a bit confusing, when we see one woman make it out alive and back to her car, then a moment later she's still in the cave with her dead daughter. So, did she make it out bodily but still there mentally, or vice versa? You would have to watch the movie, and figure it out for yourselves. Definitely worth seeing though! |

Clash of the Titans Liked it better than Percy Jackson. As Liz said, different from the original, but the mechanical owl that they picked up for 5 seconds before saying to just leave it was a nice call-out to the original. |

Despicable Me It was alright, but not particularly funny. And the whole story seemed a bit rushed. Cute, albeit predictable ending. |
