I don't see the problem. A vampire can only come out at night and a wherewolf is only human during the day. She can have one in the day and one in the night. |

saw 3 documentaries with the view it now option from netflix; radio bikini; about the atom bomb test on bikini atoll told mostly through old goverment films.. i always thought it was an uninhabited place, it wasn't. the government moved everyone out & said they could go back after the test, but they can't because of the radiation. WARNING! they used animals to see how the bomb would affect them & they go back to look. if you're squeemish, do not look from about the time they go out in boats to look at the damage until someone starts talking. paper clips; as a part of their study of the holocaust, the children of the whitwell, tn middle school try to collect 6 million paper clips representing the 6 million jews killed by the nazis because they can't imagine a number that large. interesting to see how the idea came about & grew far beyond what anyone could imagine. helvetica; about the development & use of the world's most popular type face. very dry & boring subject that nothing could enliven. |

To this day, Bikini Atoll is STILL fucked up from all that. |

Dear John The ending was stupid and vague. And the whole thing seemed too rushed. The acting was decent, but the characters were pretty 2D. It was ok, but I wouldn't watch it again. |

Nope. Neither of the two main characters die. The ending just annoys me because it leaves it up to the imagination whether they stay together/break up. |

Crank 2 Ever wonder what you should do when you have 10 extra minutes of ideas, but you killed off your main character? Then watch this movie. The rest was fluff with a bit of added bounce. |

the king of kong a documentary about a guy who gets laid off & decides to beat the record score on the arcade style machine for donkey kong. more interesting than you'd think. with a bad guy, drama & controversy. nearly every guy in it looked like a gaming geek. but i wanted know how the 80-old woman who was going for the high score on Q-bert did. |

Some Stegall movie. Okay, I can't really give much of a review as I'm not really watching, but it is annoying when Stegall starts talking in English and then everyone responds in Japanese. It's like anyone he walks into on the street will just know that either language will work when talking with him. |

The Men Who Stare At Goats, & The Informant I'm going to review these both at the same time, because they are getting almost the exact same review, & I watched them within days of each other These weren't bad movies, but they weren't all that good either. There was some really good acting in them, from terrific assemblages of stars. So good were the performances, that it makes seeing the movies worth it, but there's nothing worthwhile about them otherwise, except that I hear they both might be based on true stories or something In a nutshell, the Men Who Stare At Goats is about a military project that explores the paranormal, which leads to a rather psychedelic sect of would be psychic soldiers, & the Informant is about a corporate exec, who exposes all the illegal corporate practices of his employer, when in fact he is not quite what he appears to be as well. Both ideas are solid ground for a comedy to be built on, & the humor is quirky & original, but both films tend to fall a bit flat during major chunks of them. They were amusing, but not something I found particularly funny, & neither had any real direction or resolution which could justify having watched them. If just feels like there was something necessary missing |

The Transporter. Ok, not exactly a 'new' movie, but the first time viewing. And the last. Way too contrived for it's own good, it's little more than an action movie, with no real attempt at a cohesive story - and the one attempt to try and suggest mystery (is she, isn't she) is wasted cos nobody cares !! *** (for effort) |
