saw fan boys on the weekend. It wasn't as good as I hoped, but wasn't as bad as it could have been. The depiction of the fans was pretty extreme but expected. And trek fans are not portrayed well. Just letting you know now. But warsies and trekkies are mortal enemies which was kinda funny.

had some good things to say about fandom though.

Paul Blart, Mall Cop

Normally, I don't care for Kevin James in anything but King of Queens, but this one had me laughing the entire way thru.

It's Christmas!

We went to see the Transformers and Ice Age. Transformers was back two weeks ago I think then Ice Age this past week. The Transformers had a lot of action as what my ex hubby said was more than the first Transformers movie. I have not seen the first one, I went with my ex for his sake. :wissa:

Ice Age in 3-D, I thought was cute. Love how the squirrel and the female squirrel fight over the acorn nut. It was my first time to see a movie with the 3-D glasses! In the beginning I was not used to it that I kept jumping being startle at something closer to the screen. it was like they were jumping toward you.

I saw Public Enemies with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Pretty good movie overall and a nice recreation of the time period. Depp and Bale are excellent as usual. A bit long but I'd definitely recommend it.

Blockbuster has a rental history on the link so making the list is easy.

Really nice little movie about a man who has the ability to "read" characters right out of a book when he reads aloud. Brendan Frasier did a good job in this one. Sometimes I can find him really wooden. Definitly worth a watch. Scary for little kids thoug

Knowing

Nicholas Cage, who again can be quite wooden but was ok in this one. The movie was very suspensful horror till the last 20 minutes when it was

I find it's so hard to find a good horror film anymore that doesn't fall apart in the end.

Try Dodgeball.

Defiance: Jews being hunted in Belarussia during WWII try making a new life for themselves while also having to deal with the Germans. Based on a true story that doesn't need too much dramatic license to make it a worthwhile story. It deserves the R rating for violence, but it isn't overly bloody as some movies seem to think is the sign of a good war movie.

Watched Knowing. As Wissa said, Cage did okay. I expected the last 20 minutes to be horrid, but it wasn't that bad except for all the trouble they went to for just 2 kids. Starting with the plane, the effects seemed completely unrealistic until the final brimstone. Overall, not a great movie.

Try "The Descent".

didn't you notice all the other ships leaving? I'm assuming they each had two kids in them.

then I was freaked out that they just dropped them on a planet somewhere.

The multiple ships made it even worse. Build all those huge warp capable ships and then let them only pick up 2 people each. And each had at least 4 aliens?! For a smart alien race, it didn't make much sense.

 yeah you're right. Couldn't they at least stagger the times a bit? And why pick them all up at the very last second when they were hanging around 50 years ago?

Live long and prosper.....!!

Star Trek Nexus.

You know the plot, so I won't bother explaining. IMO Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and the chap who played Shinzon all deserve awards for their outstanding performances, a brilliant movie and my favourite of the series.
