That Touch of Mink. Normally I hate romantic comedies, but this one grew on me!

Hancock - Great movie. but then it's will smith. :P I've been noticing lately how all his movies are great  Far more of an emotional connection with the characters of this movie than I can recall with any other recent superhero type movie

The latest mummy one. I went in with no expectations because I'd heard so much negative stuff about it. But it was watchable. Slow to start though. And I was surprised to find myself missing the actress who played Edie.

Me in 10 years^^^

Tropic Thunder on PPV.
That was one of the funniest movies that I've seen in the last four years.
Cruise was hilarious in it.
But, be warned, the language is very strong and there's a lot of F-Bombs in it.

Who doesn't miss Rachel Weisz. The intro to the replacement was great though.

I like Shia LaBeouf.

I like saying his name. When we watch a movie with him in it we say it over and over again

:liz:

It does sort of roll of the tongue. He's getting pretty hot.

I recently watched Dark Kniight. Heath Ledger! Brilliant.

Momma Mia!!

Fun, and I was surprised how many ABBA songs I knew, until I remembered how often my Mom used to play them when I was younger. :P Very fast paced film and it seemed like those working on it had a blast.

The Tale of Desperaux

This is one of the few books my kids have read that I have not, but I greatly enjoyed this movie, most likely cuz I didn't read the book and compare the two!

It was interesting at the beginning to watch the list of those voicing the characters, as most of them are parents themselves and I always wonder if they take the part due to their children's love of the story.

Very good, especially good and easy for those who have younger children. There were a few times when it may be scary for those under 7 but other wise very enjoyable.

I went and saw Marley and Me starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston with my mom and sister tonight. It was all right; Owen Wilson pretty much kept it going for me. But man...the ending was SAD. Even I was tearing up. :crying:

I wonder how many people went into that movie expecting it to be a lighthearted comedy... :mojo: I had read an article about the book quite a while back and I knew I wouldn't see the movie....I don't do well with things like that either. :crying:

I saw The Women. It was SO stereotypical. My girlfriend loved it, but we're pretty sure her boyfriend's balls shrunk to nothing cos he watched it with us. It was even too girly for me. :P :magstar:

I just saw Valkyrie.....I really liked it. I thought it was very well done. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan at all, but I was able to look past him and see the character. I recommend it.

Well thats encouraging to hear because I'd been looking forward to this movie but then I saw in a review that Cruise's performance ruined the movie.

You know, it really depends....I mean I understand how someone could say that. When an actor has a certain odd personality or infamy in real life it sometimes affects how people see him or her in a movie (I assume that is maybe what ruined it for some). Like I say, I don't like Cruise, but I really wanted to see this movie and like it, so I just focused on other things. I had seen a tv special on the real life plots to kill Hitler and the conspirators and so I was thinking about the real people asw I watched the movie. But I will say that Cruise did nothing to help the movie.

Good points. I've actually got that special saved on my DVR but I haven't watched it. You enjoyed it?
