Also saw Cloverfield which wasn't quite as dark. Last minute was a bit of a surprise. The whole thing was shot as if it was one guy who happened to have a video camera during this event. Very realistic feel from that perspective down to checking the video and seeing what you just taped over. My wife cut out half way through though. She couldn't take the lack of a soundtrack. I thought it was good as a novel experience, but I hope the sequel will be more of a standard type of movie.

Yeah, it was alright, but I agree with your points

Name of the King

The dialogue is kinda painfull in parts. And there is some really bad acting by Burt Reynolds (of all people) and Ray Liotta but the plot is pretty good. It is also long though

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem

Totally sucked. The script was ridiculous, the acting was juvenile, and the plot was insipid. The first one was much better.

Was it really really dark, or is my tv dying? I had no idea what was going on most of the time.

Just finished Slipstream. Probably would have been easier to understand if my tv had gone completely dark. The actors played the lost and confused parts very well...probably because they were really confused. Most of the movie was like trying out all of those unnecessary features on the video camera. Surprised they didn't do mirror vision.

Your first thought :wissa:

Just saw "The Kingdom" It was better than I'd expected, which is why it took me this long to rent it. It was alright

Howcome in all that time no one has grown a beard on that island?

Anyhow,

Just saw Rocky Balboa. Big "Meh". Wasn't bad, wasn't that great either. Really slow getting to the point but, I can see how that was needed. The ending wasn't too bad either. Fortuneately I saw it for free, which is my suggestion to you folks. If you're going to see it, make sure it's free.

What thread should this have been in? :panic:

Are you talking about LOST? Well, mostly because it's hardly a deserted island. There's like a whole community living there, & supply drops, & bunkers, & a village

i saw national treasure 2.
it was an ok movie, if you liked
the first one, you'll like this.
although the bad guy's motive
was a bit muddled. IMHO.
& nick cage had odd hair that made
his forehead look bulbous.
it was distracting.

I thought if you liked the first one you wouldn't need to see this one. They are pretty similar.

I finally saw Cloverfeild. It wasn't as bad as I'd heard. The ending was a bit of a let down though.
