It's Christmas!

I bought a new DVD movie last week, one of the movies that Brent Spiner made.... Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. A true story about a color woman, played by Halle Berry who became a star in the 1950s. Brent played her manager. It was a good movie and Brent was good playing the manager Earl Mills. :swoon:

That is what Brent Spiner fans were telling me about the movie being good and I decided to grab that movie in the mall, found the movie was reduced in price of $7.99, I got it at the perfect time. I was trying to collect more Brently movies, so I got it! Still more to get is Geppetto(which was the musical one Brent play the villain in that one).

In that recent movie, I love it when his character(Earl) sang to Dorothy in the near end. That got me swoon over! :swoon:

My boys and I watched "Resident Evil- Extinction" last night.
I liked it but it may not be suitable for younger kids.

Watched The Game Plan last night. Very very disney. But watchable. And the kids liked it.

Also watched The Brave One with Jodie Foster. It was a gripping movie. You couldn't take your eyes off the screen. But the ending was just bizarre and didn't fit the somber mood of the rest of the movie.

Watched Shoot 'em up last night. Easily the most violent movie I have ever seen. To the point where you are just laughing at it by the end. In the first five minutes the main character is in a shootout while delivering a baby. He is shooting people with one hand and catching a baby with the other. His empty shell casings are falling on the woman giving birth. He kills more than one person with a carrot.

Just watched The Darjeeling Limited. I can't say why, but I like Wes Anderson's movies. There are widely split opinions on his films, with people who absolutely hate them, & people who find them fresh & innovative. I suppose I'm one who enjoys them

With this movie, he continues his general style to its usual quality. If you like Wes Anderson's previous movies, (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, & The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) then you will want to see this one. If not, then you should probably keep your distance

Just saw "The Last Legion" with Ben Kingsly and Collin Firth.

Entraining but not watchable a second time around, even if it's free. It's a corny mash of "King Arthur" with Clive owen and "Merlin".

I would have though a Ben Kingsly flick would be better.

Have you ever seen Death Sentence starring Kevin Bacon? That movie was pretty gruesome too. I'm usually not really bothered by violence but man I started to wonder if all that was really necessary.

I watched Wedding Crashers again last night. I liked it more the second time around but it was a little disappointing since it was on cable TV. Stupid censors. :P

House's angel :)

I saw Philidelphia last week. That's got to be one of the best movies I've ever seen. I think Tom Hanks got an Oscar for it... and it was well deserved. Brilliant actor, and Antonio didn't do a bad job either. :crying: :crying:

Also, I saw Elizabeth the Golden Age on Saturday... great movie! Cate Blanchett should have won that Oscar... though I haven't seen La Vie en Rose so I guess I can't judge.

:D

just saw American Gangster. It had good performances, but it was dry, too long, & the ending didn't jive with the motif :idon'tknow:

Rendition was Excellent, even if I did have some of it figured out, early on, it didn't change how well it was executed
